I was very scared to try Fraxel,as I had read about the horror stories online,but my acne scars bothered me so much,I decided to take a chance,and so far,I'm glad I did.Im only 2 days post my first treatment,but already most of my scarring is gone,maybe because they were not too bad to begin with,I'm not sure.The procedure itself is very painful,not going to lie,and for an hour after,it felt like my face was on fire.Now,I have a bronzed appearance,and minor swelling,which I'm addressing with Advil and ice.So far,I couldn't be happier,and can't stop looking in the mirror.I really hope these results remain,as I have read some reviews about how the scars came back after the swelling went down.That would be very upsetting,as this treatment is quite expensive,but so far,all is well!

Thank you,unfortunately,many of the scars have returned,I posted the update this morning.I think the swelling flattened a lot of them out,and I wish I had waited longer to post such a positive review.Im hoping the next two treatments get rid of them,cause right now I am very upset:(

Hi.I completed my 3 Fraxel treatments on Aug.15.I posted the results last month.I have seen subtle improvement in my acne scars,but considering how expensive this was,I was hoping for more substantial results.The technician who did the treatments assures me I will continue seeing results in the coming months,and I will post another pic in a few months.

Hey, I want to know how is your scar look like now? I've read that Fraxel treatment only give temporary result, is it true? Cause maybe I want to try that myself.

So..I was worried about results not being as good as immediately after the treatment,and unfortunately,that is exactly what happened.Although there is still some improvement,after the swelling went down,some of the scars did come back,which is what I was afraid of.I only wish I had waited to post my review.I still have two more treatments to go,so hopefully my skin will improve,but right now I am upset and disappointed,as this was a lot of money for me.I will post update after second treatment.

Please don't get anymore fraxel treatments it will ruin your skin. And it does NOTHING for scars. i had Fraxel done two times and my face looks worse! I did Fraxel because I was told it would help take away my acne scars and all it did was ruin the health of my skin. My skin became extremely sensitive to the sun. I developed hyperpigment action. My skin looked completely dehydrated. Open pores developed. I lost the fat in my cheeks and developed lines under my eyes. I also began to see icepick scars too. I look terrible and its been four years. This experience has been horrible for me. Please leave yourself alone. You are beautiful just the way you are!

I'd really wish people would understand that the initial good result after Fraxel you have because of swelling. You never know how your skin will react. Unfortunately Fraxel does not help to diminish scars. We do laser in hope to make scars less but after a year or so when skin heals completely all the scars are the same. Please, be carefull.

The process of post laser treatment collagen deposition is not a very fast process and the stimulation of fibroblasts to deposit collagen may need several treatments this is why I will wait until the end and not get disappointed with the results of the procedure this early.

On the other hand different people have different responses to the treatment from superb results to no effects to unfavorable results. I will personally need 3 procedures one of them is fraxel laser resurfacing for orange peel like scars in addition to rhinoseptoplasty and otoplasty to get back in shape. The different results of the laser procedure will not prevent me from having it done.

I like you am 41 and have had acne scars since 17. I've had every procedure under the sun. I've had 8 fraxels since 2013. I would say overall a 10% improvement. Not much really. I kept having them because I thought it would get better each time. It didn't. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but nothing will ever make scars disappear. They can slightly improve but they'll always be there. My regimen now is daily retin A, monthly chemical peels, lots of water and a good moisturizer . I hate my scars but I've learned to accept them. If you don't it will beat you down. I wish you the best...
