Almost a year post-op and still love my results!
My right boob did end up being slightly smaller so they are going to fix that for free when I'm ready (though the graft site they'll take the fat from they will charge for). I have still noticed my body is storing more fat in my outer thighs and chin than it ever used to, so please be ready to accept that other spots on your body may get a bit more fat than they used to if your lipo sites are removed. I believe if you go into this planning to continue to slim down or at least maintain weight you won't notice the extra fat deposits as much, think folks that continue to gain weight after this procedure will be alarmed as the fat is going to be stored elsewhere. My stomach and boobs look great though, and my weight has been stable.
Overall happy with results-9 weeks post op
Overall happy with my results but still not sure if they warrant the $20k cost. The breast size has continued to go down significantly (almost every week) and nothing has fluctuated with my diet or exercise (or overall weight). The doctor said all the swelling should be gone by 3 months and I'm at almost 2.5 months now, so I think a lot of the size was just swelling (or fat continuing to die). Regardless, highly recommend not looking at your results until 3 months post op if you get this done, your results will continue to change.
Right boob is still smaller.
Right boob is still smaller.
7 Weeks Post-Op
Almost 7 weeks post-op today, a few updates:
Boobs: Went to Victorias the other day and I fit a 34B well, so looks like I did get one full "up a cup" though I think the bigger left boob is still on the smaller side for a B cup. Still not super happy with the right boob, you can see the slight asymmetry in the photos. I am very likely going to get more put into the right (possibly slightly more in the left too if there is extra fat left over when we do the graft) in December/January at my 6 month post op. Really interested in getting my chin down and possibly take some from the outer thighs for the graft.
Lipo- the stomach still looks great, no pouch and I'm excited to start building up my abs. The only issue is because my abs now look so flat, my "hip dip" now seems more pronounced. I would consider taking some from my out thighs to help with the right boob fat graft later this year, and make the hip dip less noticeable. My inner thigh results are not noticeable, but talked to another woman who had lip a decade ago and they took too much out of her inner thighs and it looked extremely weird, so I guess it's better to be conservative than have an inner thigh dip. Scars are healing nicely, using Scaraway and Moderma (one in the morning, one at night) and still not concerned with residual scaring, think they'll fade.
I'm a little confused where all these plastic surgeons are getting their statistics of 30-50% death rate (fat necrosis) of the fat transferred. My surgeon put 430cc and 450 cc into my boobs respectfully (not sure which specifically went into each boob though). A full cc cup size is considered to be between 150cc and 200cc. I think I currently have one full cup size (we'll go with 200 cc) in my bigger left boob, and probably 100-150cc in my smaller right boob. That means (roughly) that I lost roughly 55-70% of the fat transferred, much more than the typical stats. I look at other up a cup reviews who all seem to have about 1/2-one cup size and had even more put in, so it seems like the 30-50% necrosis is not accurate. I followed the directions from the surgeon to the dot, though I do think the next time I do this I'm going to make some tweaks to the garment so even less pressure is put on the boobs. I talked to several of their nurses about this and they confirmed my garment was on correctly and that amount of pressure was fine, but paranoid there was slightly too much put on the right boob.
Overall happy with my results, though I do still think $20k is a steep price to pay and air sculpting in general is quite a lot. Will put another update a few months down the line, particularly if I decide to get more put in my right boob.
