2 week update
Was told by the nurse that at 2 weeks I can ditch the compression garment. Seems much sooner than everything I have read, and my body does not feel ready to go without. Swelling has gone down in my butt, thankfully, injection sites in hips are still really sore. Incision sites are scabbing and healing but still very sore, wearing a traditional bra for longer than a few hours is really uncomfortable. My entire back is tender to the touch, and there are a few completely numb spots . Bruises are fading but still visible.
Still not comfortable or fitting in regular clothes. I started back to my regular workouts this week and that feels great, although taking things very gentle in yoga, my tissue feels very stiff.
I'm not trying to point out just the negative aspects, but being completely honest about my healing journey. I'm sure I will love the final result, just want others to be aware of how intense this procedure is. I am pretty much back to my normal activities, but not without discomfort.

One week update
I just passed the one week mark and am feeling a little better. My body is still traumatized, bruised, sore and very swollen. I've been walking drinking almost a gallon of water a day and VERY careful about what I eat, nothing processed and no added salt. Sleeping still sucks, my brain capacity is not back to 100%. Working from home as I can't fit in regular clothes. I usually live in leggings (who doesn't after the last year?), but those are too restrictive so its the same 2 pair of loose, drawstring-waist pants for now. Incision sites are very sore but healing, overall my skin feels like its severely sunburned when touched. Hopeful that the end of week two I will be able to leave the house.

Underestimated Pain/Recovery Time
My review is for those that are contemplating this procedure. A lot of the research I read and watched really downplayed the intensity of it. Basically, it’s lipo while you are awake. They give you pain meds but it still was excruciating at times, I was given a ball to squeeze and told to relax. The advantage is that you don’t have to be put to sleep under general anesthesia, which can put extra stress on the body. I did throw up a few times at the facility and in my sister’s car on the way home and my body was shaking for about an hour after I got home. Not sure if that was from the meds or my body was just having a trauma reaction.
The recovery has been brutal, no possible way I could return to work this week. I was told to sleep only on my stomach which is severely bruised, I look and feel like I have been run over by a truck. Haven't slept for more than an hour at a time for days now, and am exhausted. I was prescribed 800 mg Ibuprofen, which is taken every 8 hours. I have been walking and moving around a lot during the day to keep circulation going, but each step is painful. This review is not to share my pics or to trash the facility at all, they did their job and I'm sure once I'm healed I'll be happy with the results. I will say the areas I had done: back bra roll and extending down to the waist ( stubborn back fat), upper ab area, and upper pubic area, then had some fat-filled into my “hip dips” which I’m really regretting right now. It was something I wasn’t aware of until it was pointed out to me and I impulsively added it on at the last minute. It's extremely swollen and my ass looks huge, I hope it shrinks.I just wanted to let those know that it is not a quick procedure where you can return to your normal activities in a day or so. I am extremely swollen, so I couldn't possibly leave the house unless it were in very loose clothing. I would be horrified if I ran into someone I knew because I look 6 months pregnant! Am wearing the compression garment 24 hours a day with the pad inserts. The garment is a little too short in the torso, which also causes discomfort in the shoulder straps, causing me to hunch forward to keep them from digging into my armpits.I have experienced natural childbirth, so I know my tolerance for pain. This procedure has taken me out, I’m on day 4 of recovery and making the bed was a challenge. I don’t know if I’ll be able to return to work next week, hoping I can manage things from home since sitting in a chair is not possible.AirSculpt may be the latest and greatest technology as far as results, but I think it's also fair to note that it is Liposuction and the recovery is similar to a traditional procedure. This review is not to discourage anyone, just to give my honest experience. If you have questions, I can try to answer them via private message.I will post follow-up/result info when I'm feeling and seeing them.

I am almost 5 weeks post op and before I get to anything else- let me say I couldn't agree more. The first 2 days were brutal. I too got sick in the car on the way home and was sick for another 24 hours. Mostly b/c of the Demerol. Sleeping on stomach KILLED my neck, my knees and elbows were raw for weeks. I still feel pain in my abdomen --it's like I have a really bad sunburn and cannot wear anything that even slightly get's too tight- like certain pajama bottoms. I am still very lumpy-- and I did not expect that this far out b/c they showed pics of flat flat tummies 10 days later. Hmmmm.
thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like I may want to invest in some soft fabric, pull-on pants or skirts for the next few weeks. I appreciate your feedback, I thought that there was something wrong with me!
I'm sorry to hear about your recovery it sounds brutal. I agree with you the procedure itself is not as simple as it seems. I'm almost 2 weeks post op, I also did full abdomen. During my procedure I felt LOTS of pressure in my lower abdomen(below my belly button) and I told the nurse. I was crying the pain was unbearable. At the same time my blood pressure shot through the roof and the doctor had to stop and give me meds to lower my pressure, then continue the procedure. On the bright side your recovery will get better the first few days are the worse. Once the swelling subsides and you start seeing results you recovery will be a distant memory. Hang in there! The best is yet to come.
How bad was the pain? For me it is so Baden
Bad*
thanks for the info, did your swelling subside already? Are you back in regular clothes? I'm trying to gauge how long I need to lay low.
Oh no! The swelling can last up to 3 months. I had my first massage today. I recommend you get post op massages they really help move that fluid around. Also research post op tips and hacks. I found most of my information on YouTube !! Lol
One thing! Wear your post op compression garments, it helps the swelling go down. I had to switch to a stage 2 faja by day 9 because I needed more compression. Again "youtube university" gave me info on post op lipo care.
Thanks for the info! I bought a stage 2 and it is so much more comfy, no eye hooks digging into me. I was told that I could stop wearing mine at the 2 week mark but my skin is still so sensitive, feels bruised to the touch. Wearing a compression garment helps protect my skin from rubbing on fabric, etc.
2 weeks is not long enough!!! I'm thinking 2-3months is realistic. Yes your skin is still very sensitive and body is still healing.
Hi, how much time would say is enough time to take off from work? I have my procedure in 4 weeks. I want to make sure I'm taking enough time off to recover. Thanks!
i’m experiencing the exact same thing. Granted the Dr. who did my procedure had great reviews and the other patients stated they didn’t feel a thing, I question why it wasn’t the same for me. Hopefully we both heal soon
