How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

My Stubborn Areas Are Finally Gone!
No matter how hard I worked out, the love handles and outer thighs were not changing so I decided to do something about it.
I did my consult and booking over WebEx due to COVID. This was a little strange but went as smoothly as can be expected.
When I got to the office on the day of the procedure, I got to meet my doctor who I had selected out of the doctors in the practice based on the internet reviews available. Each of the Drs in the DC office also has a non-AirSculpt private practice so it was easy to get lots of broad perspective on their work and manner.
Dr. Bhatt was really wonderful taking time to explain everything while marking me up.
Surgery Step 1 - Injection of the tumescent fluid which numbs the area, marinates the fat for extraction and seals blood vessels to control bleeding - this felt strange but mostly did not hurt some areas had scar tissue or tight stubborn fat to get though but it felt like a stretch as the cannula went though those areas, not pain per se. They use some kind of thing called a ‘wheel’ to do the hole punch and that did not hurt at all either. He numbed all areas to be treated before extracting fat from any of them.
Surgery Step 2 - Fat extraction though the cannula. I did not feel much of anything and by this point, everything was a bit of a blur.
Recovery Day Of - This was gross but I slept through most of it. I got home from the procedure at 6 PM. We stopped on the way to get my antibiotics and pain killers. I remember nothing. I woke up in a puddle of fluid and the pads they put in the areas that were treated were all soaked and gross and breaking down. It was gross but gross does not really bother me too much. Pain was moderate and controllable with Tylenol.
Recovery Days After though End of First Week - Majority of Fluid stopped leaking out by end of first day post procedure though the incision sites leaked moderately a bit for three to five days. Pain was pretty bad the entire time. I used Tylenol every 4 hours like clockwork for the first three days and only at night for the rest of the week thereafter. Sleeping was not pleasant. I wore a thin tank top under my compression garment as the material started to irritate my skin. Once I washed the garment (Day 4) I no longer needed the undershirt. I did find that the close contact of the garment or t. Shirt with the incision holes was preventing them from closing (a little seepage would come out, form a scab then I’d move and the cloth in contact with the scab would pop the scab off and it would leak again. . . Bandaid prevented this nicely)
Anyway, week 1 was no fun. Week 2 was inconvenient as I was just sick of the compression garment but only my outer thighs hurt when I put pressure on them.
I would absolutely do this again. I got the result I wanted.
