Love my Results, but Definitely Not Painless!
After having a baby and struggling to lose the last 15 lbs I gained while pregnant, I decided to look into liposuction. To me, traditional lipo scared me a bit. I didn't want to be put under and after reading reviews of traditional lipo I was turned off by the recovery time and the scaring.
I found Elite Body Sculpture on Instagram. I watched a couple live videos where a client was being interviewed while the procedure was going on. I thought to myself, "well this couldn't be very painful". I booked my appointment and decided to give it a try.
I initially decided to do the BBL, full abdomen and inner thigh. However, after reading a couple reviews I decided to skip the BBL and just do full abdomen and inner thigh. I had to pay just about $17,000.00 up front for the procedure.
Going into the procedure I had no idea what to expect. I arrived at my appointment, was quickly greeted by a nurse and brought into the exam room. We did photos, the doctor came in a marked the areas he was going to work on, we did more photos, they had me take a Xanex and away we went into the operating room.
The nurse came in a gave me a shot of something that burned like CRAZY in my arm... The doctor punched a couple holes in the abdomen and inner thigh. The nurse got the laughing gas out and they started pumping my body full of a numbing solution... They haven't shown this part of the procedure on instagram... It's super uncomfortable, a bit painful and just feels odd. I believe about 6 bags of solution was pumped into abdomen and thighs...
They let the solution sit for a moment and then they started with the "airsculpt" (liposuction) part of the procedure... This part was painless.. BUT only because of the numbing solution... the numbing solution was definitely the worst part.
By the end of the liposuction part I was pretty out of it. My boyfriend came to pick me up. The nurse ran over the instructions with him and we went back to our hotel... The next 24 hours were ROUGH!!!!! I felt like I was ran over by a bus. I was leaking crazy amount of fluid and I was sooo sore.
If you follow Elite Body sculpture on instagram, their business model seems to be formed around this idea of, "24 hour lipo". "You will feel fine within 24 hours". "You can go back to work within 24 hours"... I'm hear to tell you that that is more than likely not accurate. My thighs were that bad... but my abdomen was sooo sore. So maybe if you were to just have your thighs done you could go back to work within 24 hours but that was not my case...
I'm honestly so glad I decided not to do the BBL. With the BBL you cannot seat or lay down on your back for a couple weeks. I have no idea how recovery would have looked without being able to lay on my bad. My stomach was way to painful to lay on it...
I'm now day 4 after my surgery and every day DOES get a little better! The compression garment has helped with swelling! I stepped on the scale when I got back home and I actually weighed 6 lbs more after the surgery than I did before, but I'm sure that is just because of all the fluid and swelling.
Since surgery, I've been drinking 1 gallon of water each day and trying my best to follow an anti-inflammatory diet. I'm only 4 days out of my procedure and I'm already seeing great results! I'm definitely glad I decided to go thru with the surgery but just know it IS painful! I would compare the pain to recovery after a C-section from child labor.
I will post photos in a couple days!
