Disappointed
Hi guys. Tomorrow is my 5 weeks post op. I had hip flip and utilized the fat from my tummy. I paid nearly 17,000$. Originally it was 19,000$, because I was going for the abdomen sculpt and power BBL, but when I got to the office, I was told I was too small and they cannot do the BBL. pretty discouraged but when ahead with the hip flip anyways. They refunded me my deposit, which was like 1695$ I think. I’m not sure how much each procedure Is on its own but I feel like I should have gotten a little more back.
It was PAINFUL, I felt every single poke and prod. The patented numbing air gun was broken, so they had to actually inject me. I continued to tell them I felt the cannula and they said I must take pain killers or something because i shouldn’t be feeling things. Like…. Idk what to tell you other than OWWWW? And also, kinda not cool to be accused of being a pill addict mid procedure. I was crying, grabbing the table and telling them there was no way I can continue. It was a miserable experience. However, we moved forward and they continued to give me Xanax as I powered through the procedure because I was desperate to finally be happy with my body ( I have body dysmorphia with a binge eating disorder for background).
I will say that my results when I took off the garment to shower after the second day, I was so excited. But now….. I’ve gained almost 30 lbs, I’m still numb and in pain, none of my garments fit anymore so I have to keep sizing UP. And to top it off… my left hip dip is back. But my right one is still plump. I’m now uneven and so embarrassed I don’t want to leave the house.
I could be jumping the gun and not allowing proper time for the grated fat to settle…. But literally the fat is no longer in it’s place on my left hip so I’m concerned that it would migrate back. 30% of the grafted fat gets reabsorbed but only on 1 side? I did email my doctor with the pictures to point out my concerns.
I hope that things will even out in time. However, I am still kinda pissed about the procedure in itself. I hope no one else goes though the pain I had to deal with. And that the air gun works…. Maybe that was the reason I wasnt throughly numb?
