AirSculpt on Abdomen

3 Week Update

WORTH IT
Here is the pic at 3 weeks. The area is very dimply and has some irregularities. I think the lymphatic massages are helpful though. I have my third today. The skin feels very tight, and I think the dimples are due to the connective tissue trying to reattach unevenly. I am hopeful that the lymphatic massages and stretching the area will help even this out.

The changes are remarkable! Looking great! Are you doing the lymphatic massages because of swelling?
Thank you. Yes, was having regular lymphatic massages for a while.
Hi! Hope all is wellZm are the dimples gone?
Most of them are, but it's still a little dimply.
Hello. You look great.
What was your waist measurements before you this? And what are they now?
Strangely, I didn't take measurements before.

ORIGINAL POST

AirSculpt on Abdomen

I had developed excess fat, especially in my midsection over the past couple of years of gaining weight. This procedure removed the unwanted fat, with immediate results. As I write this, it has been one week since the surgery. Though I was back to being able to do light housework and working in my office within a couple of days, I still have some pain and physical limitations- such as difficulty bending down to pick something up off of the floor. However, the pain is very minimal at this point, and is more like discomfort than actual pain. I started giving myself abdominal massages a couple of days ago and that has helped with my range of motion and has reduced the feeling of tightness.

Who was your doctor for the procedure? The results are AMAZING!!
Thank you! It was Dr. Kanevsky.
Amazing results! What type of scarring is left behind?
Thank you! It looks like it will be pretty minimal. They haven't completely healed yet so it's hard to tell. He made 6 small incisions, two in the belly button that do not show at all, two below the bikini line that look like they will disappear altogether, and one on either (lower) side of my body. Those two are biggest, but he said they will heal to the size of a freckle. I am not anticipating any real scarring.
I am about to get smart Lipo done next month... I am freaking out about the local anesthesia and all negative reactions I might have for I tend to “exaggerate” my worry thinking this procedure and be deadly... I know I am too much!
I am healthy, I was “cleared” to have this. But still I worry, did you worry?
How long this took from the moment the put the local anesthetic and removed the fat? I am having 3 areas done.
I was technically awake the entire time, although I wasn't completely coherent or able to communicate very well. Because of this, I wasn't really concerned. I only remember the first part of the procedure. I think it was about two hours long. I only had the abdomen done. The anesthesia really wasn't bad at all. I have a vague memory of a nurse dressing me and my daughter and a nurse helping me into the car, the next thing I recall was waking up in my bed. Even if you are going under completely, of course there is always the risk, but it's pretty minimal. Just make sure you have a good doctor.
