I was tired of not looking the way I wanted to look. I wasn't looking to be a Barbie but I wanted to be comfortable with me again. I wanted to look good for me so I could be confident in what I saw in the mirror. So after reading MANY MANY before and after posts on here I decided to start my journey and look for a dr. I chose Dr Dieffenbach in Aiea HI, my husband and I are so glad we did. When it came time I took two weeks off of work for the procedure, everyone has their own recovery time but I felt like this would be what I needed. For the BA I went with Mentor High Profile silicone textured implants, 450cc on left and 500cc on the right (left was a little bigger than the right side naturally but not a huge difference).
I got my meds before surgery date and was all set. Followed dr orders on day of surgery. I got there at 8am and was out by 3pm. Upon waking up I felt pretty good but still had lingering anesthesia and was also told to take my pain meds before my ride home. I felt fine but I held my new breasts whenever we went over bumps etc as it was a little sore and felt a little weird with the extra weight. For the next few days (I think it was about a week) I stayed on top of my pain meds because the first few days I can honestly say I was pretty miserable. (Again everyone is different and I did NOT exercise a lot like some women do who say it was not to bad) Make sure you have someone to help you for the first few days to a week. It was hard getting in and out of bed and taking garment up and down to go to the bathroom. (Finally we used our version of the "she wiz" thing and used a kitchen funnel and I just used that in the hole of my garment and it made life sooooo much easier when I had to use the bathroom instead of being in pain to get garment up and down plus trying to lower yourself to the seat. Sorry tmi but it helped so much. The swelling was not a fun time. Peas for ice packs helped quite a bit as well. My breasts were so big and swollen for quite a bit as well. At first I was thinking I should have went bigger in anticipation of the swelling going down it may not be big enough but once all the swelling was gone I was so happy with the size. I wanted to be fuller and perkier but not the obvious look and that is exactly what I got. The lipo areas for me; I was lucky and I never drained one bit. They were really sore for awhile. If your dr says wear the foam boards for a certain time please do. It made the garment tighter and more uncomfortable but it really makes the outcome so nice. I cried sometimes cuz the garments hurt and were uncomfortable but I forced myself to wear them most 24/7 for the full 7 weeks. Toward the 5-6 wk Mark I would go out for a few hrs without it but the areas were sore without garment. Anyway, you can go back to my
User name and read my progress and journey as I was going along to get more details or message me and I can share more. You can also see more photos there. Good luck on your journey and happy healing to those of you who have already made the commitment. Attached are some photos. I will try to post current after pics before long.
