I want to share my journey simply because there's few reviews about african or african american rhinoplasty. Im one day pre op and im really nervous. It something I wanted to do for awhile and im really excited. I live in Canada in the city of Montreal so I wasnt sure if the doctors here were specialized in african or african american rhinoplasty. I went to a lot of doctors and I met Dr. Omar Fouda Neel ( Top rhinoplasty doctors in Montreal) . He was really nice and welcoming. He explained me that a closed rhinoplasty would be the best option for me it would be an alar rim excision ( meaning my nostrils will be reduced) .

Post op Day 7
girlgirlgirl01November 29, 2017
The surgery went well. After it, I was feeling nauseous. I took all the medications required and I felt better. About the bruising, I had little bruises nothing to big. The following days I didn't really felt any pain except that my throat was really dry when I was sleeping. I was able to do small walk at day 4 post op. It helps also with the bruising on my face. The bruises disappear at day 5 post op ( thank god) Overall the first 6 days went really well. Today, the doctor removed the cast. I can see the difference already. I was really happy. My noseis still swollen and I have this weird feeling like my nose is throbing every second. It's just uncomfortable.

Hi! Yes I will be posting more pics soon. The surgeon also reduced the width of my nose and narrowed the tip of my nose.

Im no longer taking pain killers. At day 11, I was able to go back to work and school. My nose is still swollen and I dont feel any sensation when I'm touching it. Im suppose to have a follow up in two weeks. I love so far how it looks. The surgeon told me it takes time to see the final result and my nose will no stay the same after 6 months post op.
