Can’t sleep so thought I would share some thoughts.
Nose was really sore yesterday and experienced some weird sensations and pressure on my nose, it didn’t last long, only for like a minute. I’m assuming it’s the healing process, scar tissue. Its been okay today but still very tender so I struggle to apply makeup on my nose and wash it as i did pre op. It’s also sometimes weird psychologically when i look in the mirror or at pictures since the op associating my new nose with my face if that makes any sense? When you have seen a central feature of your face ll your life then it suddenly changes it takes some getting used too and processing..(well for me lol). If anyone is familiar with the iPhone photos you will know they have a “people “ thing on the photos part? Well that no longer associates/recognises my new face with my old one so has created a whole new person!

tape it every night and add arnica gel. you look great by the way
I’ve been taping every night. I have the arnica cream and tablets too but didn’t think to still use it. But will do now.
Aw bless it’s not recognising your new face I know what facial thing your talking about in the photo gallery lol but your nose is heeling so well!
I suppose. Yeah it takes time. At first my face recognition didn’t work too lol.

Are these before and after (left to right) or our nose currently? Looks amazing btw, how is your breathing?
The first pic is after and before. My breathing is ok, there are days when I’m a little bunged up like now for instance and days when im ok.
Wow. I am considering this surgery glad I know what to expect. As far as physiologicaly seeing a new face. Hope your healing is going great. So far so good.

22 days post op.
So I’m now 22 days post op. I’ve noticed a slight decrease in swelling and the dark circles around my eyes have finally gone(for now). I have been experiencing the odd twinges in my nose and the odd really dull ache, I’ve put that down to the healing and scar tissue etc forming. My nose has also been getting really dry and blocked a few times. The nasal spray only offers a temporary relief for that.
There has been a few days where I haven’t gone out so I’ve kept the tape on all day. The only real problem I’m having is getting the annoying residue from the tape off my nose everyday!! I have been using oil and soap but it’s a nightmare getting it all off especially when applying makeup because the makeup makes it more obvious. I have a really oily T zone which made my old nose look even bigger! so i was constantly blotting it so it wouldn’t appear as big and shiny! Now I don’t have that problem as such.

Your nose looks great !! Try using the bepanthol cream inside ur nose to keep it moist ...
Thanks for that. I did buy that too before surgery. Do you think it will help with dissolving the stitches any faster?
Yes ..I used it inside my nose and on the stitches to help dissolve them ..my stitches took around 5 weeks to dissolve ...

Thanks. I think makeup helps a lot for me at this particular stage of recovery. Still trying to get used to the new image i see.

I was quoted £2800 including transfers and 5 nights accommodation. But prices can vary depending on what needs to be done.
Ahh ok near enough what I was quoted (£3000) was he ok with you leaving after 5 days? Isn’t the cast supposed to be removed on the 6th/7th day or was he cool with that? Sorry for all the questions just went to be sure because if I can stay for 5 days instead of 7 I’d prefer that too. One last question, how was your flight back home? Any pain/swelling? Was immigration ok with you or did you have to get a dr’s note to fly? Thanks in advance! X
The cast was removed on the Saturday and i flew home on the Sunday. I didn’t stay for 7 days. My flight was a night flight on the Monday so I technically arrived in Istanbul in the early hours of Tuesday. I didn’t get to the hotel till like 2am(Tuesday morning) and had to be at the hospital for 8am that day. Dr Bora signed fit to fly papers so that wasn’t a problem, you just show it them at check in. I didn’t experience any pain during the whole process. I stopped taking the pain meds after 3 days. I didn’t have any problems on the plane and i travelled alone and had to take 2 flights with a stop in Germany. There is swelling but it’s not as bad as those who have open rhinoplasty.
Ahh thank you so much for answering all my questions! I’m defo going to change my stay from 7 days to 5 days if I can I just prefer being bed bound in my own bed until I have to go back to work ( a few days after I return) than staying right up until the day before I have to go back to work. When I had a bbl I wasn’t allowed to fly back immigration stopped me before I boarded the plane even though I had a note from my doctor that I’m fit to fly they have have a national rule of anyone coming for surgery has to stay a minimum of 10 days after it and I tried to go home 6 days after it but they wasn’t having it, so I’m glad you said immigration isn’t an issue.
Where did you go for your BBL? Yeah you should be ok here flying back. Yeah I would double check what day you have the op and what day you have post op control.
I went Colombia, had it done in 2017. Best decision I ever made so now I just wna get my nose done to finish off my glow up then I’m done!

No hun that was my wish pic but I practically ended up looking like it in the end, I was so tiny aswell before I had it done, think I weighed 126, now I’m 150. You’d be surprised with the fat you have in you that they can use for your bbl. and over the last few years since I’ve got it done my bum won’t stop growing! All my fat cells really were put there it’s definitely true what they say about the size of it will increase every time you put on weight lol but I love it tho
Wow! What is your height? Im currently a 119 lb I feel like a have quite a lot of fat just on a smaller frame so i still appear slim.
I’m 5ft3, I have that slim thick look I also put fat in my hips so it gave me a crazy shape but don’t let the fact that your tiny put you off it my frame was soooo slim and so athletic, although I did try and put on some weight before it so he could as much fat that was in my body but I used to struggle to put on weight so it didn’t really do much even tho I tried and tried. I was gna have a round 2 but only Lipo this time no bbl cause my bum genuinely won’t stop growing and I love the size it is right now but then I just thought I might aswell wait til I have children for that cause if I do it now I plan on having children in the next.2-3 years so I know that’s gna reverse my results and my money will be wasted. Also another thing that stopped me from getting s rd 2 is that getting my body done only gave me confidence for a little while and then it was back to feeling rubbish so I already know if I do it again it’s not going to help with confident issues, but I feel like my rhino will cause that’s my face like that’s the first thing everyone looks at when they see you before your body lol
O wow! So there is hope for us slim girls who struggle to gain weight. I think the difference with rhinoplasty because it’s the face and the swelling etc that comes with it in the first few months in could have the opposite effect and may knock confidence during the healing process and if your not overly happy with the results. I have days when i like my new nose and days when I don’t.
Yep definitely hope for us slim girls and this is a fact! Yea I get what you mean with the swelling knocking out confidence but where it’s the first thing people look at when they see you I till believe it would hold more of a long lasting positive effect that your body cause your body people only see through pics or in summer time where as your face will be looked at forever for the rest of your life and so rhinoplasty lasts a life time, bbl & lipo doesn’t. Thanks for the visa answer too I’m on to it this week I saw online you can get a e-visa for 20 dollars/euros or something
Sorry hun got another question, did you need a visa to go to turkey with your British passport? I’m flying with Turkish airlines there and BA back but I’m not sure if I need a visa or not
Yeah you do. Something I forgot to get! Luckily was able to get one on arrival at the airport.
Wanted to ask, did dr bora’s assistant ask for your passport number and a picture of your passport to book your transfer & hotel? I find that so strange that they are asking for this as this is a breech of security nobody should ever ask for that kind of details, they really should just be asking for your full name and that’s it. But could you let me know if they did the same to you please? Thanks x
Yeah she asked me for a picture of my passport which I sent. I didn’t really read too much into it as i have been on holiday to other countries and the transfers, tour guides etc have asked for a for it.
