African American Rhinoplasty

Finally doing what I've wanted since middle school. I will be going to Dr. Adam Stein in Raleigh, NC. Surgery is scheduled for 2 September 2020, and I am very nervous but excited. My pre-op will be on 19 August. I'm hoping to help some girls out as I know reviews with noses similar to mine helped me. I want my nose to still look ethnic and fit my face. I have really high hopes with him. If you all have any questions let me know.

African American Rhinoplasty

Just posting photos of me along with wish pics. Again, I still want an ethnic nose. The only issues I have with my nose is the width from top to bottom. If it were smaller where the top/middle of my bridge is I wouldn’t mind my nose so much. Also, my profile is very straight. I would prefer a nice curve my profile. I think it would look more feminine and make my face appear softer.

Heyy. Our noses are similar but I would say my nose bridge is a little wider and that is what I would want to reduce, not my tip so much. Saweetie's nose is one of my wish pics too. If you don't mind answering, are you getting an open or closed rhinoplasty. From all the pics I have seen I am leaning more towards a closed one. Wishing you all the best. If you don't mind pls post updated pics

Hey! Sorry for the late response! I'm honestly not sure which one I am having, but my pre op is next Tuesday so I will ask them then and let you know! Yes! I like her nose I still want to look ethnic. Have you chosen a doctor yet? I will definitely post updates :)

Pre-Op Complete!

I’ve completed my pre-operation appointment as well as paying the remainder of the surgery! I honestly forgot to ask if I am getting an open or closed rhinoplasty, but after doing my own research I believe an open rhinoplasty would be more appropriate for my ethnic skin. I will be calling back tomorrow to ensure that won’t be a problem. The entire staff has been wonderful so far! So welcoming, informative, and open to answering any questions or concerns I may have. They provided me with a nice, big packet with all the information I will need regarding the recovery post surgery. It included a lot of great information and even went as deep to cover your mental health while going through the process. I also picked up my medications that I’ll be needed post surgery. You will also have to get a COVID test a week prior to your surgery date so I will be going this Wednesday/Thursday to get that done. There are a few items in the packet that I will need to get before the surgery and I will provide them in my next post. I will keep you all updated!
