African American Rhinoplasty

I've wanted a nose job since I was about 11 or 12 years old. My nose has been a source of insecurity to the point that I wouldn't take pics without a Snapchat filter. I had two consultations and ultimately decided to go with Dr. Maloney in Atlanta. He focuses specifically on faces and has tons of experience with nose jobs, including African American clients.
Consultation with Dr. Maloney
I found him and his staff to be very pleasant and professional. I left my consultation knowing that I would be going to him for my surgery. He provided me with computer generated images (which my first consultation did not). He also has images of other patients throughout his office, which I found reassuring. Dr. Maloney discussed everything in thorough detail about the surgery, including what I should expect and made recommendations based on my ethnicity to help make the surgery successful.
Pre-Op
I had one pre-op appointment in which f information on what I needed to be doing to prep for the surgery and afterwards was reiterated. He prescribed a lot of meds and his office manager also had a "gift bag" of certain items needed as well. I did express that I wanted my nose job to be very subtle, in hopes that my family & friends would not be able to pinpoint the difference.
Surgery
A few day before the survey, I became very anxious and wanted to back out. I emailed his office manager that I was scared my results would be too drastic, but she was reassuring in the fact that Dr. Maloney does a wonder job with natural looking enhancement. The surgery center is close to his office, and the staff there were equally nice. I was under general anesthesia so don't remember/wasn't awake for the surgery.
I am now a few hours post-op, and honestly I'm a tad alarmed that my nose is now way too narrow. I will continue to update. Please feel free to message me with any questions.

Photos
I forgot to attach photos to my last review so I include a recent photo of my nose and me a few hours post op. Right now, my nose looks extremely narrow, but maybe it's just initial shock. I am also hoping that it's not too short.

Cast off - 1 week PO
My cast was removed this morning & I nearly passed out upon seeing myself. As expected the tip is quite swollen so I’m keeping that in mind to stay calm. I have a lot of white heads on my nose which is also contributing to my freak out a well.
I immediately FT’d my best friend & she said that I still looked the same but could see the swelling. She’s the only person that knew what I was getting done so I decided to FT my mom and she only said that I looked sick. Today is my first day back at work and I feel like everyone is staring at me. One of my colleagues mentioned that I must be sick because she could see it in my nose & another said “don’t you usually wear glasses”, so I think they can tell that something is different but not quite what. I only used a little powder on my face because my nose just feels gross with all of the white heads. I also wore a big wig to try to distract from my face.
I’m hoping that once the white heads clear up & I can do a full face, no one will really be able to spot the difference.
I have to say that looking at myself in the camera on my phone is much better than looking at myself in a mirror.
I really don’t have much bruising or swelling around my eyes which I’m assuming is thanks to Dr. Maloney!

Thanks so much for the review! I’ve never heard of dr Maloney and he’s local to me! I would just be patient for a few more weeks because it take some time to settle. What is that you asked for specifically? Thanks again :)

Any new updates? Did he use an implant? I'm highly considering him for my rhinoplasty. So far you look great!
