Your nose looks great! Glad you're happy :-) I'm 2 weeks post op today from a rhinoplasty revision and fat transfer to my face and am hoping I have a lot of swelling because I don't like the way my nose looks.

Thankyou xxxx Really try and be patient because I still have swelling and I’m 14 months post op and some days I don’t like mine then I look back to how it was and realise how lucky I am just to get an improvement. When we first have it done we want it to look perfect from day 1 but honestly you will look back and know how much swelling has gone down xx

I think the doc should've shortened my nostrils so the overall size could be smaller but he didn't... so not sure the swelling going away will help much... we'll see

Mine weren’t shortened and I think mine look big but because some of my tip was reduced they are more long than round like they were before. Hopefully once your swellings down I’m sure you will notice a difference xx

Thanks, here's hoping for the best :-) Do you remember at what points within the first year you were really able to see a difference in the swelling?

The bridge area was around 3 weeks but the tip was 6 months and one side is still slightly swollen on the tip but I had quite a lot of work done to my tip as the cartilage had started to split so I was starting to get a visible groove in the middle. You are early on in your recovery so try and focus on your whole face instead of just your nose. You will be fine x

This recovery period is so hard to practice patience... it would be so much easier if someone could tell me for sure what the end result will look like ... whether it's 6 months. 1 year or 2.... thanks for the replies and encouragement :-)

Here anytime if you worry or private message me when you want someone to talk to :) honestly just think it’s a big op so you need to be patient xx

Looking good. Did your tip soften up completely? Would you say that after 12-14 months nose 100% ?

Thank you.My tip is still slightly swollen so definitely takes longer than 12 months if you have a lot of work done on the tip. It’s still hard in the centre and I still see slight changes. :)

Thank you for responding dear. xoxo Yes, my tip was extensively worked on. I am only going thru first stages of primary rhinoplasty recovery, lots of things are new to me, I 'm emotional and uncomfortable at times,, I'm learning a lot, coping, and hoping for the best results (eventually) Surgery is done, no way back, we all just must move forward, enjoy good final results or address less than desirable results. Being patient is just soooo hard...Well, thanks again and best wishes to you!
