I just had injections done for the first time in my cheeks. Since I have turned 40 I have lost a lot of volume in my cheeks. I had two syringes of Radiesse injected. So far it is a little bit swollen but I am liking the results so far. It had not lifted my skin as much as I thought it would, but so far it is adding some nice contouring to my face. I will report back in about 2 weeks to show final results.

What was the procedure like? Did you have any pain?

Thank you. Actually I had injections done under my eyes (for hollows) in 2009 and it was extremely painful, so I have to admit I was expecting it to be very painful. I guess with the lidocaine, I only felt a small prick of it going in and I did not think it was any worse than botox. The cheeks are still tender and it is 48 hours later, but the swelling has gone down and I do not have any bruises or redness. The nurse did inform me to quit taking any aspirin or drink alcohol as it thins the blood and can cause bruising. I stopped those about 5-6 days before.

I would love to see a picture of before and after without the lip pursing to get a better feel of the results. Do you have any?
You’re supposed to be looking @ her cheeks, not lips. Her lips pursed are not going to affect the appearance of her cheeks.
