Pubic and Buttocks Hair Removed Via Laser - Fort Wayne, IN
ORIGINAL POST
I started shaving off all my pubic hair when I was...
WORTH IT$1,500
I started shaving off all my pubic hair when I was 22 in college. For the last 20+ years I had been shaving myself bald down there. After much consideration, courage and money, I decided to do what I have always wanted done which is to be completely smooth in my genital and buttocks areas. I have always disliked pubic hair. It's overrated. Why does anyone need it? It gets on the soap bar, in the tub, and in your mouth - who wants that? Besides you genitals are pretty to look at and you can't see them with all that hair down there. Smooth and silky is best. I have not had a person yet that does not agree.
The procedure became better with time. I was not given numbing cream at the beginning which proved to be a tad painful without it. After 4 treatments and the esthetician seeing my discomfort, she offered the numbing cream to be put on before the procedure. It's a special blend from a Custom RX pharmacy here in town, specially ordered so I can not give you the name of it. Most over the counter or branded numbing creams I have tried do not work. But the special blend did. More and more places around town are offering the laser hair for the pubic area. Years past it wasn't offered to men, which is one of the reasons I waited so long to have it done. The female estheticians are generally afraid to treat men. Fear of the man getting an erection or ejaculating during the handling of the penis during the procedure. Understandable of course, but the truth is even though a fellow may get aroused during the procedure the laser zaps quickly provide enough "pain" to the area that the discomfort level is enough to kill the arousal obtained from the extra attention. Most experienced nurses are capable of handling the situation professionally. There are more than 3 different ladies in town here that have proven their ability to handle the situation like a pro. The goal is to help the patient to become hairless. You do need to make several visits spaced out over a year or more long period by 8 weeks apart. You have to wait for the next hair growth cycle before your next treatment, This is not a one and done experience. Hair grows in cycles and the hair follicles you have now are not the same ones that will grow 8 weeks from now. So repeated appointments are needed to completely remove any future hair growth. This is essential if you want to be completely hairless and smooth forever. Plus your pubic area is a concentrated area of hairs. There are many there, it will take time to destroy them all.
Do not use Nair or depilatory creams before your treatment. That will dissolve the hair and the laser will be ennefective. Do shave yourself smooth, the laser can still see the hair at the surface of the skin. That is all it needs to successfully zap it. You will have to spread you legs and let the nurse get all up in your stuff. You need to be comfortable with this situation. Do you want your hair removed or not?? She will be all in and around your genitals. If you are a guy and afraid of getting an erection, then I would suggest masturbating to ejaculation before your appointment.
One more word of note, I wish I would have done this a long time ago and not waited. It has been wonderful being so smooth everyday. My only regret from waiting is that because I was in my forties when I started and had a few white hairs that had started growing because of my age. The laser will NOT work on white hairs. In order to remove any white/blond ones you will have to have electrolysis in order to destroy those. Which is more painful, more expensive and the progress is much longer than laser.
If anyone has an questions, feel free to ask.

Can I ask why you go to two separate places? Is it to make the most of discounts?

The first place I went to had the only laser in town. Then another place got a much newer type of laser. It served to be better over all but I had established a good relationship with my first facility. Now currently both places have new lasers so based on discounts and price I go to both.

I'm wrapping up my treatments with a few maintenance appointments. Other than that I'm done. Yes I'm very very satisfied and would encourage anyone to have this procedure done as soon as possible. Do not wait into you get older like 45 years plus, because once your hair start turning white or gray you have to have electrolysis in order to have those taken care of ... So my best advice is to have laser hair removal as early in your life as possible .
Thank you for taking the time to openly share your experience, I am most certain that any other men looking into this treatment will find your review very helpful.
Congratulations on a successful treatment.
