I struggle with my weight after my divorce which was 11 years ago. I was emotional eater. It's amazing how you allow your self get this far of gaining weight over the years. One day I began to lose weight but it was more a challenge than I bargain for. 2014 I got very sick from diabetes, I lost 30 in 3 months and my vision was very blurry for several months. Wow! I had to take control over this diabetes. That was a wake up called. I knew if I don't control my eating my health was continue to go down hill and I came conclusion to take control by using the gastric sleeve as a tool. My anniversary date is November 25 2014 surly it was a sure regret in the beginning but as time has moved on I am glad I did this procedure, so far I've lost 18 pounds but it does require you to work it like anything else. My heaviest was 312 and I'm 5'7.

Mine too! How are you doing with the liquid diet?
January 16, 2015
Been working it. I'm headed out for my daily walk right now. I'm up to about 13 miles a week, so I'm going into this surgery pretty strong. I've been walking 10 to 13 miles for about 10 months. I'm down 11 pounds from 235 to 224 from the day I booked my appointment. I'm 5' 8 and have no other health issues, thankfully. As I start my liquid diet I'm hopeful that I will drop a few more pounds and be even more prepared for surgery, but anxiety has pushed its way into my thoughts now. The brisk walking helps. Have a great day, everyone.

Wish we could walk together and laugh while we look goofy as we lift our arm weights. Today I packed two plastic grocery bags of lemons and lifted them in sets of 8 as I walked. I tried to make it look like I was walking from the market. : ) My dog kept glancing back in confusion as this is a new twist during our walks. I'm a strong woman and I want to stay that way. I want to avoid muscle wasting during this intense liquid stage. Any tips on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
