A New Life Has Started

It is now 2 years since my last surgery, the Gynecomastia (man-boob removal) and I couldn't be happier.
My PS wanted to do a couple of minor revisions to correct some loose skin that had developed post-surgery, but at 70 years old, I decided that I could live with these 'imperfections'.
I now have the confidence to actually take off my shirt at the beach, (never done this before) and have actually taken up snorkelling!!
My weight has only increased between 3 to 4 pounds and I think this is added muscle since I am doing so much extra activity these days.
I still read 'my Girls' updated reviews and hope you all continue to enjoy your new lives, it really is inspiring to follow your journeys.
Holiday travels continue and after the Indian Ocean Cruise to South Africa we both vowed to go back, it is that amazing. This was followed by a 2 week Cruise to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. This was an area that my wife's Father fought during his time in the Australian Air Force taking part in famous Battles such as Milne Bay and Guadalcanal against the Japanese Forces. It was good to see and appreciate the importance of these conflicts.
My Daughter needed 4 extra days Cruising to qualify for the next level in the Loyalty programme, so in 5 weeks, we are all off to Noumea and Fiji Islands for 10 days. In October this year, my wife and I are going back to Southern Africa and in particular, the Kruger National Park to explore the Game Reserve. Lastly, in May 2018 we are all Cruising to Hawaii visiting all the major islands. This 35 day trip will celebrate my Daughter's 40th Birthday, I wonder who will be paying for that!
On the home front, I am back working at my Daughter's House where I only have two more rooms to paint and then start on the renovations. I completed removing the tiling on the front porch and re-laying new tiles and hanging a new screen door. A new front entrance door is next. Then I will start gutting and renovating the Laundry and then the main bathroom followed by the main bedroom en-suite. The list may get shorter after that lot.
As you can see, the activity has increased dramatically and would have been impossible before I started this marathon to personal improvement. I could not have started this life project without my 'Harem' of Realself Girls who have supported me along the way. I will be forever grateful to you all.
Learn to love life.

The result of my Part 2 Chest surgery should have read 110%.

The Finale

Hi my friends,
Last week was my anniversary of mt TT Surgery. I missed updating on the day as the fan on my Laptop was sounding so asthmatic that I thought I would have to get a Ventolin Puffer for it. The Service Shop said only 2 days to fix it but it turned into a week. I felt so cut off from the world.
Now I have a quiet computer and with a new keyboard as well, all the keys are working again.
So what are my impressions of the last 12 months? Firstly, I re-read my review and had forgotten so much of the drama of the event, but as I have said so often, it was life changing mentally as well as physically. Outcome after 12months, TT surgery was 100% of my expectations. Part 2 Chest Surgery was at !!)% as I still can't believe how good it looks now after putting up with the embarassment throughout my childhood , teen and adult years. Simply amazing.
I am still watching my diet and my weight has increased 1kg (2.2lbs) as a result of the Cruise. I am working hard to get back to my target weight of 77-78kg. A balanced diet on a Cruise Ship is a plate in each hand. It is so easy to get used to a 5-course Breakfast, lunch and Dinner as well as morning tea, afternoon tea and Supper. I did go down to the Gym on the Ship, but only to watch others sweat.
Anyone contemplating going ahead with surgery, do it! OK, I had a few minor 'hiccups', but none of them were painful and I put them down to my age at the time, but the results have been outstanding. If you have a strong support team to help you, (Ididn't), then you will breeze through the surgery. It is still a marathon.
I have included some photos and some photos from the Cruise which was spectacular. It is only 100 days until the next Cruise of the Indian Ocean and South Africa, can't wait.

Dr. Darren Molony. I am impressed with his confidence of what he can do for me and my expected outcomes. It will be a Fleur-de-Lis Abdominoplasty with a separate 'boob job' later on. His PA is amazing, and is so supportive and enthusiastic. The surgery is planned for 18th Sept. 2014. Post Operative communication has been brilliant. Nursing Staff were ringing him at home at 10-30pm, and he welcomed that. Change the rating from not sure, to Definitely WORTH IT!!!! Part2 surgery is scheduled for March 5th, 2015 for a bilateral gynecomastia, umbilicus rectification and torso skin rectification. This Gynecomastia procedure surpassed my wildest dreams and I am so happy. A Post Operative Seroma is a lingering side effect still receiving treatment by my PS for which I am so grateful. Dr Molony has been so confident and reassuring throughout my whole journey and would recommend him 'in a blink'.
