Hi, I fed each of my kids for over a year and it has left me very deflated and one is noticeably bigger than the other side. My kids are 5.5,3.5 and 1.5 so I'm quite nervous about a) leaving them to get the surgery and b) caring for them after the surgery. I like to think my pain threshold is pretty good after having three kids and I've experienced the engored feeling in my breasts before so hoping that helps. To add to this my husband works fly in fly out and will leave a few days before my surgery and get home about 4 days after! My mum is staying with me to care for the kids and me until he gets home but it's not ideal.

Finding surgeons in Adelaide has been difficult as reviews are limited. I met with two surgeons, margaret Anderson and James kollias. I have decided to go with Dr kollias, he has a great reputation, very professional and seems very knowledgeable about the procedure and up to date with current information. He was also better priced and insists on an overnight stay at st Andrews private hospital which was very comforting to me as I live a distance from the city.

So I have decided on 400/425cc textured mentor high profile round, incision under the breast and dual plane position. I am getting two different sizes to even me out although I have been told by both surgeons breasts are sisters not twins so there will always be variation. I'm about B cup and hoping to be a D or DD after which is what I was before kids. I'm 5,2, petite and 53kg

The first day was very rough, I under estimated the pain I would be in and how limited my movements were, I couldn't lift my arms, move my body at all to sit up or move up the bed. The pain meds made me really nauseated but I had to keep taking it.
I'm on a different med today which isn't as strong but doesn't make me sick and the pain is much more bearable. I decided to do an extra night in hospital and I'm so so glad I didn't do day surgery!
My breasts look great, I'm very happy with Dr kollias.

Getting better each day

I'm starting to feel a bit better, the last two days I haven't really had day sleeps so I can sleep more solidly at night. I'm still on regular pain meds and printed out a 24hr planner template to write down when I'm taking things because I started to get a bit foggy with it all. The hardest part is still not being able to lift the kids, my 18month old has worked out he can still get cuddles abdvsleep on me if he just rests his head on my lap so that's what he's been doing and that's how he slept last night after coming into my bed while I was sat upright with a big European pillow sleeping lol. Breasts are brusing up a bit and still fitting firm and high.
