I've suffered from acne scarring for 20+ years and I've tried many different procedures to no avail.
I've noticed many docs and derms post before and after pics to prove their treatments work. What makes it very misleading is the before pics are usually taken in harsher light
One person who comes to mind is Dr davin lim. Ive had treatments done by him and was very disappointed in the results and his behaviour afterwards.

Thank you for your opinion regarding my pictures. My response is complex, however it can be made simple with one sentence. The MOST important discerning factor in the success of scar treatments is subjective, namely how the patient feels. Objectively, improvements can be gauged by counting the scars, measuring the depth, or grading scars. This is academic as a huge improvement can be seen in the majority of treatments, however the scientific grade can still be Grade 4. Video to explain.

I've also poured over many of his before and after pictures, and found them to be very consistent in regards to maintaining the same posing and lighting in both.
I do know he has different, specific treatments for different kinds of scars, and that the varying procedures can be both expensive, and time consuming.
Do you have pictures that show the appearance of your skin before and after treatment, that you could share with us?
Yeah i also read and seen his videos and was impressed with what i read and saw . Which is why i was so disappointed when i actually got a treatment done by him .He was very misleading at the initial consultation and i felt that he was just telling me what i wanted to hear . On the day of the treatment , after i had paid obviously , the improvements he promised at the consultation had suddenly decreased . Have you had any treatments done by him ? Could you send me links to where his before and after pics looked to be taken in the same lighting ? I have yet to see any after pics taken in the same harsh lighting ....
After the treatment he tried showing me the scars in different lighting - when i asked for him to show them in the same lighting as he had before he did the treatment , he said i was hard to please !! Obviously he wasnt going to take after pics as i was requesting that they be taken in the same lighting as before hand . So no pics of before /after treatment
I really cant believe all the good reviews he gets !
Thanks for your response. I'm sorry if it appeared as if I was not listening to your concerns. Treatments are expensive, and it is more than disappointing when you don't receive the results you expect, or are led to believe you can expect.
I have not had work done by Dr. Lim because I'm not in Auatralia. However, as a person also marked by acne scarring, I have some understanding of how you would feel.
I don't know how to send links, but had previously checked his website photos to see his before/after shots, which seemed good.
