It would look better without the rosacea flair up.

Update

So it’s been a little over a year and a half since my skin was at its worst. It was raw, red, scarred and scabbed. I have tried many avenues to regain some type of normalcy and confidence. I have good days and bad days but yes, overall it has improved. Am I completely happy with my skin...no, and I may never be completely happy again but I’ll tell you what seems to have helped me the most: 1. Collagen peptides have definitely helps but the downside is that if you stop using it, it’s a noticeable difference because it plumps your skin while you use it. So I take that every morning. 2. Dermaplanning. I take a very sharp scalpel and gently scrape away old skin in an effort to “file down” my deep pitted scars so-to-speak. The scar sheets did help and they really help if you get any new scars but for the deep pitted ones, it’s really only temporary until they seems to depress again. So yes, it works but for old scars, it’s not going to last forever, unfortunately. I even tried micro needling, e matrix, fillers, etc. but it just became so expensive. I spent thousands and while I saw an improvement, it wasn’t worth the price paid. I plan to save up for infini rf next. But I’ll keep y’all posted. I wish I had a magical cure-all to tell you all about but unfortunately, it’s such a slow healing process but I hope that one day I’ll be confident and not think about my scars everyday again.

Started Micro-needling treatment

September 27th I started micro-needing with a reputable dermatologist and Monday December 18th (2 days ago) will have been my 3rd treatment. So far, the results have been phenomenal! At first I was so worried about skin texture getting worse than it already was but it has definitely improved (slowly). I’ve also been taking collagen, using skinceuticals products AND continuing the silicone scar sheets most nights. I still need to wait 6 weeks to see if this last treatment is enough. (This was the most aggressive treatment they’ve done so far)
