Hello all, I had a lip lift done yesterday, here in the UAE. I have been considering doing this for the last two months. I saw a profile photo of myself, and that got the idea flowing. I've never been happy about my mouth - I've felt unable to show my sensuality with my mouth's expressions, and I have very beautiful teeth which I would like to show off more. My philtrum was about 20mm, but my surgeon only wanted to to off 4mm. His reasoning was that he didn't want to distort my mouth into a triangle, and he also didn't want to cause the centre to buckle. But I can hardly see the difference, and this is only the day after. I still have no tooth show when my mouth is relaxed, but I'm wondering if that is because of the swelling. Might my upper lip bounce upwards over the next few days/weeks? It seems that many people report that the opposite happens. Gosh, I really don't want to pay for another one, and I think my surgeon will be reluctant to do one.

It is a very subtle change and is definitely noticeable. It gives you a younger profile. I am having this procedure done in 5 weeks. I'm a bit nervous but I'm trying to stay positive. I've read all the Lip Lift reviews and most patients are quite pleased with their results. You look great! Enjoy your new look. You can look me up on my profile.

What did your surgeon mean by the center of your mouth buckling? My lips have the same dimensions as yours and I will get 8 mm taken off

You do look sooooooo luscious. Love, love your results. I'm in awe of the price you paid. I'm having a lip lift next month and mine is much more money. How are your scars now. Any recent pix you can show. It's been 6 months since your surgery? Are your lips and philtrum all healed

Yes I think he did take too little off ..My dr took 6mm and it has dropped already. Did it one year ago

It's now two days after, and it seems the same as yesterday. There's still quite a bit of swelling.

Thanks for sharing! Did your doctor cut on the sides of the nose at all? It seems maybe he cut only in the center which would make sense why he was worried about a triangle look? I do think you should go back for more off if you don't get tooth show. I hope it works out!

Hi, yep, he did cut all across, but maybe he could have gone more up the sides of the nose.

My philtrum was also 20mm. First surgery my DR removed 6mm but I wasn't very happy with the results. 3 months later During my revision he removed 3mm more and I'm so pleased!! I had absolutely no top lip before the surgery and now I'm able to wear lipstick :)

Maybe a bit of lipfiller in the upper lip?

Yep, for sure! I'm going to have a fat transfer to my lips in addition to a revision.

Awesome. It will look great. I think the dr is e right about the triangle thing. Unless they make a really long cut under your nose it is mainly the centre of the lip that gets lifted. The actress that plays Steffie Forrester in the Bold and the Beautiful has lips a bit like that.

When will I be able to smile?
Graphic SoftNovember 21, 2016
Just wondering when it is safe to smile. Feeling impatient!
I would ask him to do again and not at a cost to you. I had no pain and no scar to speak of and I only waited a month, but everyone is different. Take a photo and be FIRM! Lol. Good luck!
