yikes!! Abbotsford, BC

I expect it to HURT....I expect to cry....I expect to be huddled into the fetal position at various points but I expect to not regret a single part of my decision to have it done! .....I think. ....I hope! :) I have been communicating with his office assistant Monique via email and she h as been wonderful in answering all of my questions - ridiculous or otherwise in a timely fashion... Dr. S was very pleasant and kind during our office meeting - I have heard good reviews about him so I am pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

One week today till surgery.....I cannot believe how calm I am. Busy at work with tying up some loose ends and making sure that I have anticipated and circumvented any foreseeable crisis. Of course I expect something will inevitably slip through....c èst la vie! Thursday is my last work day and then its time to just relax and get some pampering done. Heading to Whistler for the weekend for one last kick at the can for the next foreseeable future! Had all my blood work and ECG yesterday.....wow.....sure left a bruise where she took the blood....NOT a good omen! Doctor gave me ARNICA...supposed to start taking it a few days before surgery and supposed to help with bruising and inflammation....I will keep you posted on that!

It still hasn't sunk in.....today was my last day of work until after recovery. Whistler this weekend and surgery on Tuesday morning. Why do I feel so detached from the entire situation?! ......no doubt my Monday night it will feel like the night before Christmas and waiting for Santa Clause!
