Surgery procedures:
Brow lift, upper Blepharoplasty, fat grafting, laser resurfacing.

I will be 41 in a month and am very athletic, eat well and keep the sun off my face. However, I was unhappy with how I was starting to show signs of aging on my face. I have lost some fat volume in the tear troughs and I wanted to have a little volume added to that area.

My surgeon spoke with me several times and gave me his suggestions. I said that I was not so sure about adding volume to the cheeks, but he said he would stay very conservative. Overall, I have always liked my eyes and their shape, but was just unhappy with the skin surrounding them.

So far I am healing ok. This is a slow process and I am getting impatient as I cannot work out and am tired of hiding behind sunglasses. It looks as though my eye shape is the same and he did stay conservative with my cheeks. I had a slight difference in my eyes before surgery and so one eye required more work than the other.

The laser resurfacing has been the hardest part of my recovery, yet I feel the results will be great.

Pros: the ability to take off a few years
Cons: the healing is slow and it is hard not to feel worried or depressed while you wait for the final outcome.

I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op and I am getting very worried about asymmetry. One eye is not matching the other and is more numb than the other. I spoke to my surgeon and the office, they told me this is normal and to give it time. The laser resurfacing is difficult to cover with makeup and I am tired of hiding behind my glasses. How will I know if the sides will even out?

Great surgeon and so far a great recovery. I had a brow lift, upper bleph, fat grafting and laser resurfacing around the eyes. Recovery is long and I am only a month out, but doing great.

How secure are the endotines used in this type of brow lift procedure? About 2 weeks after my brow lift my youngest son accidentally bumped my head with his elbow and of all places it had to hit one of the endotines. I had it looked at my my surgeon and he feels that all is fine. I am just worried that it could have knocked something loose and worry at times about it. I was told that the endotines are quite secure and that I shouldn't worry. Any thoughts?

My question is: Is it normal for one side to heal slower than the other? The eye that required more work is more swollen than the other, but I thought they would even out now that I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op. I have been told that I really cannot see the final outcome for 3-6 months. One eye and eyelid is more numb than the other and my forehead is very numb. How do I know the sides will eventually look close to similar?
