Still All Good!

I'm training for work, so I apologize for not updating with pics! I've attached them. Her measurements and the before and after. I will take more pics this weekend. All the attached pics are from the day I had them done, except for the last one, which is from last night (and I'm raising my eyebrow, as my friend was making me laugh!)

I'm still healing well, no issues!

Alright--I want to preface this by stating that I think A LOT of the reviewers on here have not done their research in a few different areas. 1) Your brows will take a while to heal. They also have stages of healing. I have a meme that my girl sent me, that I will upload, once I am on my phone. 2) NOT ALL MICROBLADING IS THE SAME. I have been following this for the last FOUR, yes, FOUR years--first when I lived in NYC, and now, living in LA. It is ALL about the technique and the artist.

I finally found a fantastic girl in Santa Monica who does TRUE microblading--she also matches your brows up symmetrically with your face, as well as mixing different colors, so your eyebrows match your root--which is what the true color should be. Additionally, I'm not sure about other states, but in CA, to be a LEGIT microblader, you should be a certified tattoo artist first, then get your microblading license.

Anyhow--my girl had a terrible "microblading" experience about 5 years ago and could not find anyone who would fix the botched job. Off of that, she delved into getting herself properly certified (both above licenses) and then worked off referrals. I went into her with next to no eyebrows--I've been penciling them since I was a teenager. I took one of my friends with me, as I was nervous. I was jacked up with numbing solution, had my symmetry measured, my brows drawn out (again, will upload, once I am on my phone,) and then she started. The pain was there in some spots--my arches especially, as the skin is thinner and so the nerves are more exposed.

It took Laura 8, yes, 8 passes. And this was just my first time. I initially had 7, but I asked her to please fill in a spot--she hadn't (was going to do it on the touch up) because I had started to feel more pain than pulling. I sucked it up and had her do it.

Anyhow--no touching, no water, no sweat (so no flywheel or hot yoga for me :( ) no makeup, nothing but the ointment she gave me for 2 weeks, on the brows. Sleep on clean pillow cases. I'm traveling for work this week and have already gotten numerous compliments. They are scabbing a tiny bit at the end--but they still look fantastic!

I'm going back July 5th for my touch-up--I'll post pics. I'll update the healing process, as well. Oh, and the price above includes the initial 4 week touch-up.

Pics?
Thank you for your post. As a cosmetic tattoo artist and now Micro-blade professional, along with being a dermatology nurse, I felt uncomfortable making a statement about the myriads of micro-blading mis-haps, horror stories and self treatment following the procedure. Your post is very, very clear, thank you. From an artist of my craft point of view, if you are checking out a micro-blading professional, remember it is a service they are providing. It is also a commitment from you that you will follow the instructions provided and to return to them if there is a question, concern or kudo's to be given. If a professional shows you the work she has done, and all of the brows are the same shape, color, thickness, and look like your "perfect" brow, please consider that each of us are of different color skin, different hair color, our glabellar muscles are each different and the Kardashian brow is a trend that does not work on all faces. Think of your life style and the kind of brow you place yourself each day. Going dramatically different first time out may need big consideration. Do not let a professional touch your skin with a needle grouping until AFTER you have sat up and looked in a mirror to see the shape she has designed, BEFORE she begins. You should also see little islands of ink colors above your brow that she matched your hairs with and you need to OK THE COLOR BEFORE SHE BEGINS Sigh. . . . I got it out there!
Funny you mentioned the "Kardashian Brow"-my girl said she gets people in that specifically ask for that, regardless of their face shape! I don't get that-I wanted symmetry! And I appreciate my girl and her talent :-) I'm 100% following her instructions and even text her, if I'm not sure of something-she gets right back to me!
I appreciate this review thank you for all the info! Tamalakg too! Thank you!
