Has anyone else had this happen ?

I did not go into this tell me talk with a hernia everything was fine . I really don't remember when I started feeling that something wasn't quite right but I noticed my belly button was not centered so I knew that needed to be fixed . I couldn't get back to the plastic surgeon in New York due to my daughter being ill . Then I started to get a pooch out to the upper right of my bellybutton . I did take a Pilates class and it seem to get bigger started feeling sore so I knew something was deafly going on .

i'm supposed to go to my plastic surgeon in New York tomorrow but the staff are not giving me any idea what can be done about this and I'm really scared has anyone else had this happen and tell me what the procedure is like and what the recovery is like so I can be prepared .

Hi All,
I hope you all had great holidays . I finally have my 16-year-old with her eating disorder back at home in some sort of recovery but a huge battle going on with DCF and probably will for the next several months it's taken all of my time and energy .

I finally called my doctor to let him know that I have a bump to the upper right of my bellybutton and my bellybutton is not quite center .

I don't have swelling anymore but I do have spasms in some pain and tightening at night when I stretch so I don't know if I have hernia or what the heck is going on ....

Anyone else have anything similar to this ??

Gosh you look really fabulous too! So slim, just lovely. I hope you don't have a hernia. You can't really see the slightly off centre of the bb much, youre lucky not to have any extra skin, I feel I do still have a bit. but regardless I'm 99% there. I'm so pleased to hear you have your daughter's home and hope she continues to improve. hugs and best of lucky with everything :) ps...like the new knickers..cover your scar perfectly

Post Op day one of nine weeks

Hi ladies. Hope all enjoyed the summer. I have been busy living life and fitting into my clothes. Even if they are a tiny tight at the end of the day.

Finally made it to the gym and did full circuit of machines including the ab machines. Also have gone twice to do the treadmill.
I think if I wasn't dealing with me I'll daughter I could have worked out sooner. Literally spend hours upon hours on phone fighting with insurance, looking for different facilities or going to visit her. Had her in outpatient day treatment for four days and had to lock all bathrooms and watch her every minute. Still she found a way to bulimic. So put her in only resi insurance will pay for.

I have done nothing for my scars or anything special. Maybe once a week throw the compression garment on to see if it will take down a little swelling overnight.
My surgeon doesn't believe any treatment is necessary.

I walk my dogs several times a day and eat healthy foods. Mostly salads with proteins, yogurt granola and fruit. I do eat deserts with hubby when out, we share.

I feel very tight through stomach and have weird moving sensations. Also tender where I had Lipo. Thought I would get a message in, but haven't.

I pretty much feel back to normal and want to take fitness to a new level.

I took my fourteen yo for more school shopping. We went to a mall which is new in the area and there was a Tommy Bahama shop. I started to try a bikini on and got a big lecture. So left with nothing. The next day went to Everything But Water. Really cool swimwear shop here in U.S. They had the Tommy Bahama suit I wanted. When I tried it on for hubby he told me he loved it! My 14 yo told me I look like a [RS bleep] star..,.

Here it is.

Oh, also ordered a solid white bottom that is a little higher. Which I will wear until scar fades a little more. Bought I little white crocheted mini skit coverup . Very expensive , but so cute had to have it!

LOL ..too funny [RS bleep] star!! I think NOT! Never take fashion advice from your teenagers...they only want you to be cuddly, sensible mummy not sexy mama, you're husband knows what you look good in, listen to him :-) You look absolutely stunning....enjoy it while you can! The kids will just have to get used to it ;-) Gorgeous bikini, I really like it, wouldn't mind that print myself actually.

Most definitely not too old for a bikini in front of the kids...actually I believe my mum used to wear a bikini when she was about 50 ish...she passed away in her mid 50's sadly but she still looked hot in a bikini and I am glad she was able to enjoy it! Live life to the full.

My sincerest blessings for your 16yr old. I hope she get beat this anorexia.

Thank you! I never sun bath anymore, but seriously thinking about getting a spray tan:)

They have this same print in two other style tops and two other style bottoms. I can't wear a lot of fabric or I look like a boy with no shape. Have always had to wear string bottom and triangle top.
Sorry you lost your mother so very young. Mine too. It would have been nice to have a grandmother around for their wisdom with our children:)

I figure I just need to keep my teen together until the hormones balance out.

Yes it is really hard losing a mum early I still miss her even so many years later. She was my best friend. And I have always wished she could have seen her grandson's. And a bit of free babysitting would have been awesome too. LOL

I was terribly hormonal as a teenager too...and it wasn't till much later that I realised I could balance my hormones using natural bio identical progesterone cream, which i have been using for over 15yrs now. It can really moderate moods, depression, anxiety, PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, menopause etc.

This is a website with very good info on progesterone use:
http://www.progesteronetherapy.com/progesterone-therapy.html#axzz3kUKTKiH7

I don't really know if this is the right thing for your girl but I do know it is very safe to try but you just need to use much larger doses than your average doc would recommend ...this website discusses this. 100mg progesteron a day as transdermal cream for the last 2wks of each cycle...although I suspect your daughter doesn't have a cycle at the moment and there are probably more pressing issues to deal with first, like just plain old eating and keeping food down :/

In regards to hormones though, many many woman and even men are having issues these days due to the excessive amount of oestrogen mimicking chemicals in the environment, such as in plastics or make up even. Anyway huge subject, I won't go on about it. It was just to say I have found it a wonderful thing for me. And it's worth mentioning in case it rings any bells for you.

You really do suit the string bikini style...I've always liked that style too and it used to look good on me once upon a time. I could definitely do the triangle top now with my new boobs but I may have to go for a higher cut bottom to cover my scar, at least for awhile. Just great to have the option though, right?! :-)

My mother passed at age of 61 and never met my first husband or got to see my beautiful daughters. One of her greatest desires was to see my daughter. She was my best friend also. I actually thought I was going to die when she did. She would have really added levity to the situation.

I too was crazy as a teen. I didn't really balance out until 25 when moved to NYC.

She really doesn't lose her period because she never gets that low in weight and I stick her in treatment when I see her restricting.

I will look into this for her thank you.

Is there a cream for menopause that's safe:)
User Avatar

My mum was 54 and same as you never met my husband or kids..it took me along time to get through the grief too.

You can definitely use the progesterone cream in menopause, very very safe ..it's not at all like synthetic HRT that the regular doc prescribes. Bioidentical progesterone cream is very safe. Don't be fooled in to taking a synthetic progestin by your dr. it's a different thing.
You can buy bio identical progesterone cream over the counter in the USA ..we have to have a prescription here in nz. The cream is the best delivery system anything oral is mostly metabolised by the liver and not used by the body. Whereas transdermal cream is absorbed well. The thing to know is your natural doctor would probably advise 20-40mg dose whereas you really need at least 100mg dose to feel the benefits, particularly in the beginning because initially upon starting the cream the progesterone will wake up the estrogen receptors and you can experience an increase in systems for a few months...some it can be a month or two for others with severe estrogen dominances it could be several. The point is you need to use high enough amounts of progesterone to make the body progesterone dominant rather than estrogen dominant (which is the problem these days). So for instance I use 100mg twice a day for the last two wks of my cycle...sometimes a little less if I am feeling good and more if I am feeling stressed etc. It is a very calming hormone. It will actually help to prevent cancer, not promote it like the synthetic hormones do. It will often help excessive mentral bleeding, negate effects of PCOS especially if diet is addressed also. It can be used for endometriosis although these woman often need huge doses (400mg per day).

It will help to keep you younger looking and feeling and will boost your libido too. In men and woman. Men take much smaller doses though. (10-20mg per day)

When I am giving the dose amounts I am talking about the mg of progesterone on the cream not the mls of cream if that makes sense. I can recommend good brands that you can get over there and help you figure the dose if needed.

I also used this cream throughout my pregnancy, particularly the second pregnancy due to a previous miscarriage as it will help prevent miscarriage due to low progesterone levels ...common cause of miscarriage. It will also help with post natal depression...this was amazing for me actually ...saved me when I had so much going on at the birth of my son.. I was a dead sitter for PND but I think because i used so much progesterone I was totally fine.

So that website I gave you a link for has a whole bit on menopause use. This website is the best info for progesterone use. I read many and this is the one I always go back to for solid information.

I really do think your daughter would benefit from something like this too. but would she co-operate. It would require her rubbing the cream in to her skin twice a day for the last two weeks of her cycle? Consistency in the beginning is quite important until you have resolved the estrogen dominance.
