I have a mommy makeover scheduled in less than 3 weeks and it still doesn’t feel real. I’m so excited about it yet I’m really nervous about the recovery stage bc I do work a LOT and have 3 kids ages 5, 3, and 2. I have family helping me the first 2 weeks and I want to know if you have gone through this or any surgery, what foods did you eat to help promote faster recovery?
I’m really so excited to see what I’ll look like with bigger breasts after my kids breastfed the life out of them and have a flat, smooth tummy again after delivering all 3 kids vaginally.
18 days and counting!

I can’t believe the day is here! Tomorrow I’ll have surgery at 3:45pm. I’m so excited and nervous! I can’t eat after 6:45am so I’m thinking of eating a ton of healthy, heavy stuff tonight so I don’t get super hangry tmrw when my breakfast wears off. My poor hubby has to deal with me after at the hotel so I’m trying to think ahead.
I had my consult with Dr. Yates today and we are debating between 350cc and 385cc with silicone implants. My husband and Dr. Yates think 385cc so I’m leaning towards that even though I am scared to look too big and top heavy because I am petite. (5’2” 128lbs) So Dr. Yates said I can always change my mind until I get into surgery. :-)
Here’s a picture of the 350cc on the left and the 385cc on the right. He also said we won’t have to do any drains on my TT which made me super excited!!!
Here’s to the flat side Ladies! Cheers and good luck to everyone having surgery.

Hello ladies! I’m alive with much bigger breasts, a flat belly and lots of bruising and incisions.
So to start, my surgery was scheduled for 3:45pm with me going in at 2:45pm to prep. I was so anxious that day that I got a mani pedi which was the best decision to help me relax. Plus my husband and I were trying to pass the time by shopping at the outdoor mall nearby. I couldn’t eat or drink after 6:45am and I tried walking in the shade bc it was so hot in the Utah sun. So another thing to consider if you have a late surgery.
The office called at 1:45pm and asked if I could get in early bc Dr. Yates was done with his previous appointment, so my husband and I rushed there and started prepping for surgery. Dr. Yates drew on me and I took some meds and off we went to the OR. I just remember getting sprayed down with iodine, laying on top of the surgical table and then I was out. Originally the office told me to expect to be in surgery for 4 hours but I was done in 2.5 hours! I woke up with my husband next to me and talking about purple elephants. Lol, I was so loopy from the drugs that I was talking nonsense.
We went straight to the hotel room and I snacked on healthy crackers and sprite. Once I settled upright in the bed, I passed out asleep. My husband woke me up 2 hours later to eat some soup and take my meds. Then I fell asleep right away again. I love my hubby bc he woke me up every 4 hours that night to keep me on top of my pain pills and walk around for circulation. But once his alarm went off at 7, I woke up and he didn’t lol. So I got up to get ready and eat and take my pills. My pain wasn’t too bad in bed and standing up. It just hurt like hell trying to get up or lay down. My chest is super tight so I can’t take deep breaths without it hurting and my TT scar is the one line that hurts but not terriblly unless I get up or down. So I sent my doctor follow up pictures through text and got the ok to go home.
One breast is higher than the other and there’s a small fold on my hip but he said it’s still too early to worry about it yet. Plus side is I didn’t need drains!!!! Super happy about that!
Happy healing ladies and if you are about to jump through the hoop, good luck!

Congratulations!!! I'm glad you made it through well. Rest up and enjoy the pain meds with some Netflix binging

Thank you! I definitely will. These Percocet are no joke, they put me right to sleep and make my TT pain go away fast.

Thank you! I think if I’m on my pain pills I feel ok to stand up straighter but for the most part I’m pretty hunched like the hunchback of Norte dame.

Oh, and I went with 385cc. I was wanting smaller but I didn’t want boob greed in the future and Dr. Yates told me the difference between 350 and 385 is 2 tablespoons so I did it!

Congratulations on the new you! Everything look really good so far!! Staying ahead of the pain is much better than trying to catch it. Wishing you all the best in your recovery!
