I’ve been researching for months, had my consultation with CAPS and Dr. Angelos a few weeks ago. My husband went with me and we were both very impressed with the amount of time Dr. Angelos spent with us. Originally I had planned on just a tummy tuck. But then I figured why not doing BA, as well, and knock it all out at once. I had always wanted new boobs, and my stomach caused me so much insecurity. My husband is so incredibly supportive and once we both got over the sticker shock ($17k), he said do it, I want you to be happy with how you look. We had decided on 615cc UHP under the muscle implants. The only place the doctor suggested lipo is at my armpits. I have a waist and butt, so I really feel like the tummy tuck and BA will give me the hourglass shape I want and used to have.
I do worry about the size implant we have chosen. Why if it’s too big? I’m a 36b/c right now. My dr thinks they will fit my body well, and I trust him. I definitely don’t want to end up going smaller and wishing I hadn’t.
11 more days until surgery!! I’ll take and upload some before pics early this coming week.

Last night I ordered some sports bras that zip in the front, gauze pads, hydrogen peroxide, and some other things I think will come in handy. I also emailed my PS's nurse with some additional questions I've been mentally keeping track of such as the Exparel shot, if he's doing pubic mons lipo, necrosis and seroma prevention, etc. I took some before pics this morning, and they're awful but that's why I'm doing this, right? My husband and I love to travel, specifically to Mexico and the Caribbean, and I desperately want to look good in a bikini again. I think I did a fairly good job keeping up on m body until a few years ago, and then age & pre-menopause caught up with me. Oh, along with good food and good wine ;) .
Sleeping at night is almost impossible right now, I lay awake imagining what I'm going to look like afterwards.

I’ve been busy thankfully, so time has flown and I can’t believe I’m only 3 days away from surgery.
Yesterday I had a pre-op appointment with my PS and I’m soooo glad I asked for one! I had so many questions that he answered so I can relax more. He showed me where my incision will be, which is super low (yay!!). It will be hip-to-hip which is fine.
I added lipo of the pubic mons and upper abdomen because I want the absolute best result possible. My surgeon is amazing, he is giving me lipo area free. He agreed it would improve my results and will give me a super flat tummy like I want. He explained to me that he goes in under the armpit for the lipo around that area, but there won’t be any drains for that.
I’ll have two drains for the TT, one will come out after 6 day and the other when it stays below 30ml output. He doesn’t use glue or tape, just stitches and ointments covered with gauze. He also uses the progressive suture technique which means he stitches the muscle to the thin fatty layer. This puts less stress on the incision and he has had zero seromas with this technique.
I’ll wear a binder 23/7 for the first 3 weeks, then during the day for 3 weeks. He said I can switch to a more comfortable CG at the 3 week mark if I want.
He wants me to shower after 48 hours, then redress my incisions. He’ll have me start scar therapy after two weeks.
I am doing the Exparel shot, he’s glad I opted for it. He only wants me to take ibuprofen at first. If that doesn’t help me, then I can do a muscle relaxer. The norco is only as a last result and he really doesn’t think I’m going to need it.
I’m so confident in my choice for a surgeon, I’m so much less anxious now. And I’m no longer questioning the 615cc size. I’ve been looking at ladies who are similar stats and I think they’ll be perfect on me.
Now we wait ????
