4 week PO pics

Here are 4 week post op pics. Still more swelling on Left hip. The back pain seems to have finally subsided since my first outdoor walk a couple days ago. I can finally fully stand up straight. Before then, I could still feel tightness from internal and external stitches. My abdomen still has numbness especially in lower areas near incision. Most discomfort comes from the pressure I still feel from TT swelling and still having shortness of breath starting around 4-5pm.

Hi, thanks for the updates. I hope things get easier now that you are one month out. I'm about 10 days out. Question: Is your incision high or do you have your underwear pulled down? My incision is about the same place as yours and I don't really understand why my PS placed mine (1-2inches) above my bikini line... I'm hoping it'll drop more as the swelling goes down.
My panties are pulled down a bit. My PS went below my c-section scar. I had stretch marks all the way past my original navel. So the skin you see now on my lower abs is skin that was originally above my original navel. Placement of the scar/incision line was a concern of mine too so I discussed it thoroughly at my consultation. I also bought Silagen scar cream from my PS (about $80) to help improve and lighten scar. I will start using it next week just waiting for some scabs to heal before starting it. I have started using the silagen on an old burn scar And I have started seeing results in 3 days on it! The PA said u can find cheaper versions on amazon but it’s not medical grade and as strong. I am happy I bought and will try silagen since I have a history of scarring badly. I would talk your concerns over with your PS. I feel as swelling has goes down things have shifted on my body too. Like my navel was askew a bit but it’s moving more centered now. I hope your healing process is going well. Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery as well! Hope this helps.
I emailed my PS that my scar looked high and it sounds like they are blaming me for not wanting a vertical cut which would've resulted in a lower incision. This is not what she told me at my multiple consults. But my swelling is going down slightly and I guess if I hike up my underwear (lol) it gets closer to the scar. I'll keep Silagen in mind when I get to that point. PS doesn't want me to do anything before 3 weeks I guess. I'm also looking at embrace. I don't scar well at all so I'm definitely worried about this high incision. Thanks for you reply!
Oh I’m sorry to hear your PS is taking that approach. Yes. I won’t start silagen til after week 5. I was told to wait to use it until all scabs fall off and heal. I am sure you are going to still look snatched! Plus there are amazing laser treatments later down the road if you are still unhappy with the scar. Check out Netflix’s Skin Decision if you haven’t seen it yet;) it’s good info and binge watching while we heal. Wishing you all the best!
Thanks! It does look like I have options if the scar remains high or turns ugly. I didn't really appreciate my PS's response but I'm going to chill out and heal and see what happens. Thanks for the rec I'll check it out on Netflix! Happy healing to you as well :)
You already look fantastic! I am Day 6 Post Op and already I am anxious to get on with healing and being able to exercise properly again. I am very inspired by other women who are kind enough to share their journey so thank you!

4 week post op

Had a total of 4 lymphatic massages so far.
Each one targeting different areas. I must say after each one I feel much better as the swelling has been very difficult to handle prior to today. On week three I was in the last rung of compression garmet and I started to use a back brace with adjustable straps that cinches the waist tighter and that has given me the most relief. I do feel better right after the massages but by the end of the day the swelling increases again and I’m short of breath. Still hard to get a good nights sleep. I’m wondering if it’s too late to start taking arnica. Yesterday I walked the dog for the first time and even though it was slow and difficult to fully walk upright we did 1. 5 miles.
The walk did seem to help a lot so today I did 5 miles! I feel ok but still have a lot of swelling again this evening. The breasts are looking better and perkier since the fat transfer. I am dying to know when this swelling From TT will subside.

Went back to work too early

POD 20. Back pain is still around and I can’t fully stand up straight. By mid day at work I am exhausted and the back pain and increased swelling really kicks in. Still on the Norco at night to help me sleep they the pain for 4 hours before the pain wakes me up. I don’t know if this is a good thing but when I can’t go back to sleep I’ve been using my knockoff hypervolt on low applying light to medium pressure using wavelike motions to help facilitate fluid thru lymphatic system. It seems to make me feel better the next morning. This seems to especially help on the groin area where it’s really swollen and firm. Sitting at work got even 30 minutes seems to really increase the swelling. And getting up and trying to straighten my back gets harder as my shift gets longer. It is really hard to get thru work even being on light duty as a nurse. I can’t wait for my first Lymphatic massage appointment in a few days. The swelling at work makes me short of breath with increased work of breathing. The only thing I can do to relieve it is lie on my back and try and stretch out as much as possible. Not super easy to do while at work. I hope week 4 will be better because this currently sucks.
