WORTH IT

In February 2020 (10 weeks ago at the time I am writing this review) I had a breast augmentation with Dr Steve Liew. 10 weeks later I am thrilled with how my new breasts are looking. I had consultations with 5 other surgeons in Sydney before choosing Dr Liew for my breast augmentation. I also had a nipple reduction, as my nipples have always been long, and they had become ‘droopy’ after breastfeeding three children.

During the initial consultation, Dr Liew showed me a series of photos of his precious work and asked me what kind of ‘look’ I would prefer for my breasts - basically he was determining the projection, shape and size that would suit me best. In the end, he chose 355cc Motiva round Ergonomix implants, which are the perfect cross between a traditional round implant and anatomical ‘tear drop’ implants. As you can see from my before photos, I have always been extremely flat chested, which in hindsight I realise made me look overweight, as I had a classic pear shaped figure. Now with my new improved breasts, care of the talented Dr Liew, my figure is pleasantly balanced - I have a surprisingly slimmer looking body, because of my breasts. I have had friends who had had BA surgery with other surgeons in Sydney, and to be honest their new breasts make them look heavier... so I have been surprised and delighted to have achieved the opposite. I put this down to his precision in selecting exactly the right size/width of implant that suited my body best. Dr Liew did an excellent job and I am recovering well. I experienced minimal pain - immediately after surgery and the next day I would describe the pain as the same as doing an extremely strong am best workout at the gym. It was complete bearable. In fact, I had the operation on a Wednesday and by Friday, I was well enough to pop into work for half a day for some training.

Dr Liew is one is the pricer surgeons in Sydney, however, he is also known to be one of the best. I have absolutely no regrets with choosing D Liew to do my work.

I'm the same age as you! My surgery has been postponed because of COVID-19, but I'm still debating as to implant size. Would you mind sharing your weight/height/bra size? Your implants look amazing and I'm hoping for a similar result.

Hi, I am 56kg, 154cm. I was originally 10aa or 12aa. I don’t know my current bra size as I can’t be measured professionally at this time, (nor could I attend my final check up with my surgeon, but I have been fine). My surgeon told me beforehand that I would be a C or D cup which I think I am. I’m really happy with the type of implant that was used, it is the ‘full’ profile Motiva 355cc implant - as you can see, I didn’t have much breast tissue to begin with and I wanted decent projection. I think he also chose the perfect width for the implant for me, it flatters and doesn’t ‘widen’ my frame. Mayyyyybe if I was greedy I could’ve gone one size larger, but I’m also super happy with them as they are, I didn’t want everyone I know to know I’ve had the surgery so they are perfect for me! :)

Hi Thanks for posting - results look fantastic. My surgery has been postponed too because of Covid. May I just ask about nipple reduction - which I didn’t even know was possible, but I’m sure I need it. Was this painful and around how much extra does this cost? Also - how long did recovery take?

Hi it was an extra $800. I had to be careful for about 3-4 weeks after. Something to be aware of is a slight loss of sensation afterwards, as the nerves need to repair as well. I’m still waiting for the sensation in my left nipple to return fully.

10 weeks post surgery. Very happy, finally I have some cleavage! I am healing well. I am extremely happy with the projection and slope of my new breasts. They are still feeling quite firm, but becoming softer as the weeks progress. Apparently it takes longer to soften up if there isn’t a lot of breast tissue to begin with. Really loving my Motiva ergonomix implants!
