WORTH IT$39,000
Hi all! I’m 2 years in and still love my smile! Absolutely no issues, nada, nothing! I have no issues with the arches. My mouth is super healthy. No change in my tori, which was slowly growing with my natural teeth. There has been no noticeable wear to the teeth. The ridges are no being ground down. This material is really amazing. No smells, no staining AT ALL! I am eat anything and everything and have settled into a normal daily routine. I brush with a regular toothbrush 2x a day and with an electric ‘sonic’ brush once a day. I use a plaque rinse at night. I waterpik 2x a day. Total time, maybe 12 minutes a day.
I travel internationally a lot for work and I have a spare acrylic set with screws and a little removal tool just in case I have an emergency and break my teeth, which is highly unlikely. It does make me feel better having them with me, though. No one knows I have ‘dentures’. I’m sure they think I have veneers, but that’s ok.
I’m thrilled.
Let me know if you have any questions!

I have acrylic perms for 5 years but have had several teeh break. I also live in the Dallas Metroplex and saw some information about your doctor. It's the best move I ever made but the continual breaking of the teeth is quite depressing considering how much money you pay. Considering going in to see about the XircOn but I'm concerned about putting that much money out again.

It's just such a dramatic difference. You go from meh, and worrying about breaking, to exactly what you always dreamed of and eating everything!! I don't think he would charge anything to discuss it with you, so you have nothing to lose, really.

I have all on 6 and it was a long journey. I’ve had my permanent ones for almost a year now but I’m totally miserable. It feels so bulky and interferes with speech. I have 2 upcoming consults to see if there is anything that can be done. You’re so lucky.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I hear so many similar stories and it really makes me sad. It's so much money to not be absolutely thrilled with the results. To be honest, I would be a nightmare to deal with if that happened to me. I will never most likely never have that much money saved again. I hope they can get it right for you. I know my dentist has fixed quite a few people that were unhappy with previous results. Let me know how it goes, please!

Thank you so much. I’m back to research again and reading articles in dental journals. Found one article that talked about the issues I’m having and emailed him. To my surprise he got back to me and said that he will see if he can find someone relatively local that he can recommend so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Dear Catkogan: I am so sorry to hear that you are having problems. However, you are not alone. It is a shame that people concentrate on the procedure name, rather than on proper work. All on 4 or on 6 are marketing terms. The teeth that you see have to be made with traditional dental principles of reconstruction regardless of the number of implants supporting the structure. The work should be comfortable and your speech should be normal. Your best bet, since you are having problems already, is to seek out a PROSTHODONTIST in your area. A Prosthodontist IS the specialist in this realm and have the proper training to alleviate your concerns. gotoapro.org will have a link to a prosthodontist near you. Best of luck,

I agree 100%. I initially found my prosthodontist by searching specifically for one. And I interviewed them as much (or more) than they consulted with me. My ultimate selection was a perfect combination of skill and compassion. I knew my results would be perfect. It worth the initial effort!

They look beautiful . So you have the new pmma acrylic they look beautiful. I thought they were zirconia.
April 22, 2020
Hey there... no mine are XircOn which a nanoceramic (I think). My new PMMA set were made in the event I have an emergency while traveling. They are beautiful too!

Thank you for all your great posts and information. I'm really confused by the repair kit you mention though. I thought basically all these implant retained permanent bridges/arches were permanently attached to the implants. I didn't realize you could access where they are attached. I thought they could only be removed by a dentist removing the material over where the bridges attach to the abutments. I'm so confused. Even if they broke, how could you fix them? Would you have to go to a dentist with the replacement set or is there literally a way you could do it yourself?

Bit-O-Honey

Smiling Texan
I can eat Bit-O-Honey and Mary Janes again!
I haven’t tried to eat them in years but saw them at the store and decided to give it a go.
No problem at all!
I’m still cautious, I don’t want to stress them too much, even though Dr Iskandar says the XircOn material can handle it.
It’s great to enjoy these little pleasures again!

Looking good girl!! I am waiting on a new set, having fractured the lower bridge right when the Covid-19 stay in place started... ugh... my new ones should be here in a couple of weeks... wish I had seen this earlier... I think the incoming ones are ziconia... sure wish I had known about the XircOn before...

Done!

Smiling Texan
I finally felt comfortable getting my bridge holes filled! Friday I headed over to Radiance and tried in my emergency MMA (or is it PMMA) teeth. I travel all over the world for work and needed an emergency set of teeth that could replace my perm upper or lower in the event of a break. These teeth are BEAUTIFUL! People getting the procedure now will get these teeth before the perms to make 100% sure you like the look. It is a HUGE benefit because it will leave you with an emergency set, as well. Most people would leave the set at Radiance but in my unique situation, I need them on me when I travel.
I am super thankful Dr Iskandar recognizes the need for an emergency set. I won’t ever have to go without my teeth. And I’m here to tell ya, I literally look like a seahag without my teef!
As a patient, it would have been great to have this transitional real life try in before my perms. Believe I or not, your idea of what you really like changes and these will allow you to tweak the final set... and have your family and friends see you and weigh in on changes to make. Apparently this material is new to market, or newer anyway.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
The attached pics are of the emergency kit. I have screws, screwdriver and teeth all secured with tape so hey can’t fall when the case is open.
If you are considering this life changing procedure, just do it!!! It is so incredibly worth it!!!
Cheers!!!!

Great idea! Just wondering, though, how long it will be before the TSA decides it's gonna open that dang case--just in case, so to speak. I think these things are pretty darned near break-proof, though. I have a feeling your face would break before the teeth would, and in that case the teeth would be the least of your worries. Glad you're still so happy with them, though. I am, too. I just went to a fundraiser and got my picture taken with Pete Buttigieg and his husband, and I was thrilled to see that my smile was as dazzling as theirs. :-) It's SUCH a relief not to have to Photoshop my mouth anymore!

Isn’t it grand!!!! I have my emergency set all taped up so at least it can’t fall and the security can see everything. I have been through Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok this week with no issues. Unfortunately, I also experienced severe food poisoning this week. I wondered how I would manage would that ever happen and I can tell you that it was no worse than with natural teeth.

Hi, loved reading your story and I've watched all your YouTube clips. Is your emergency kit made up of the 2nd finals he made for you or a totally different set again? I'm currently researching like crazy and I'm yet to find any dentist/lab here in Australia who uses the nano-ceramics. (I also don't want acrylic or Zirconia) I'm not sure it's TGA (FDA) approved here yet!

Hi Leanne! I hope your area is safe from fires. We are all very concerned for all of Australia. My doctor surprised me with a new set of acrylic emergency teeth. I think they are called PMMA or something like that. He mirrored the final set that I currently wear. I'm pretty amazed at the nanoceramic material. All my fears have so far been for nothing. I have eaten some really hard popcorn kernels and bit into a pebble at a restaurant. I thought I broke them for sure but did not. No stains, no smells, no clacking, no TMJ. Nothing. They are perfect. The absolute only thing I might change in the future is the color, to be more appropriate with my age. It's great now, but I mean when I am 65 or so. Also, I wish they would be more accepting of crooked teeth. I think it must be harder to create with the material. I'd like a little imperfection with the upper 6 front teeth. They've been using this material for other surgical purposes for a long time. It was only approved here recently for teeth, I think. I wonder if my prosthodontist knows of anyone in Oz using it. He may or he may be able to find out.

Thanks S/T for your thoughts these fires are devastating, we are about 4 hours away from the Victorian fires and affected only by the smoke haze! I believe that PMMA is what the clinic (I thought I'd chosen uses here) They won't do Zirconia at this lab on AO4, due to the weight, stress on the implants and cost/difficulty to repair. I'm offered temps then perm acrylics, @ $49,000 AUD. I'm assuming the perms are thinner because they have the titanium bar, they also use Nobel Biocare implants. I initially chose this facility as it's a MALO clinic, the dentist has a wonderful reputation as a leader in implant dentistry but he is very set in his researched methods. Some here are offering the AO4 plus which from my reading appears to be a G4 Golpa type method. Like you I don't want my permanents until everything settles and heals. I've had CT scanning and I have good bone and don't require grafting but I do need a full mouth restoration. I'm also mindful of colour at 58 I won't be going for a bleached shade, more so a B1 or A3. Next time you stop by if you could ask him for me that would be great :) Thanks.
