5 month follow up at 6 months
$50,000
I had some finance issues, they lost a check for. 18,000. I get the day off for my 6 hour appointment. I go in they say everything looks all healed up. They remove the uppers and lowers and proceed to tell me of a policy change. I’m unable to ask questions. They take new impressions with measurements. They say it takes 5-6 weeks for finals to be made. Then they send me out to schedule after some cleaning and hole plugging. This is when I get upset. I’m supposed to come back in September for my final bottoms. Then in two weeks I get my upper provisional teeth. This is what they told me about when my teeth where out and I had thin bars attached to the nubs that hung down to my chin! I should be getting both done at the same time. But now I’m supposed to come back in 2 weeks but I’m not scheduled until October 24th. My upset is over having to wait a month for a 2 week appt. I’m unhappy about the changing of the process. This is not what I was told in the beginning. I left and sat next to my motorcycle and cried in the parking lot

Finally time for my 5 month follow up
I have not been back to the office since my 1 follow up after my surgery. I’ve just been healing and lisping along. The office calls often to change my appointment. They give you this big plan of all of your appointments and then it all changes. So now I have to wait until July 24th instead of this Friday, which I had Tuesday off from work cause that was my original appointment. I still owe 18,000 dollars so I can’t help but think they are putting me off until they get all there money. I have the funding set up it just takes awhile. Looking forward to getting my permanent set of teeth. I’m sick of these ones, now that my mouth has healed I have this gap between my gum and teeth. Everything gets stuck. I know it’s gonna better when it’s finished it’s just so hard waiting

i know your frustration, i had my surgery on Dec 13, IM at the part of the process of getting my titanium bar made. It been six weeks since they ordered to have the bar made. My temp teeth are horrible and uncomfortable. The top bridge is way to big for my mouth. I have too much lip support, they stick out way too far and are too wide. They also aren't symmetrical, so it makes me feel like i got hit in the face causing a fat lip. I talk like i have a mouth guard in my mouth. Looks like i have horse teeth. Yes, the gap is huge too, which causes me alway to play with my mouth, always sucking through the gap and constantly running my tongue around the gap. I hope it gets better.
Where are you at now? Any changes? I’ve not been very happy with my training wheel teeth.
Please keep us posted, thanks.

Still pain and ice ice and more fricking ice
I know everyone says the 3-4 day is the worst. But try working on day 7. Still hurts to eat, chew or talk. Very very swollen on the inside of my mouth. This is not my chin and I can’t ice it away. Throbbing face is no place without ice! Ugh icing at work icing at lunch when on the phone yes icing. Always icing. Looking forward to my 2 week follow up.

How was the follow up? Any better? Wishing you a speedy recovery!
2 week follow up today, had my bite adjusted. everything looked fine, told me what to expect and gave me more cleaning supplies
I'm so nauseous right now, knowing I need to get dentures or all on four . I don't know what to do
Are they that much better then your dentures, do they feel gaggy , do you feel the denture felt more natural?
the dentures where bigger on the top because they had a full mouth of teeth. denture was never natural feeling, I had to use glue all the time due to poor fit. I’m talking a little funny right now not used to the bottom
do you need tops and bottoms?
I do not want to hijack her post, but I will tell you, my dentist was old school. He does not like to do teeth placement at the same time as implant placement, so I was sent home with dentures that had been made prior to teeth extraction and my implants placed in my bone and the gums sewn up to allow them to integrate into the bone before moving forward. I hated the dentures. The all on 4 feels nothing like them and have never caused me to gag. I am 2 years into it since my teeth were removed, and I have no regrets. The all on 4 feels like a natural part of me. The day I had them installed, I had a slight lisp, but by day two my tongue had adjusted and I was speaking normally
Yes and I've dealt with my bad teeth for a long time and really wasn't ever in too much pain and several broken at the gum line , and now with pain and broke a front tooth I can't handle the fact something needs to be done and I'm a basket case list 20 pounds and I'm in here reading and watching videos all day and I want my life back
I've been following golpa forever and just the all on four alone looks like the thing to do but seems scary ,and I dwell on everything and some myself out to the point of all I think of now is my teeth, the thought of getting it done and never being able to eat with them and think about them all day or they feel weird or the millions of thoughts about them I can think of
Oh and btw I followed you and I was like damn he's strong willed all positive didn't freak out still able to eat etc ... here I haven't even done anything yet and I'm all messed up lol
Have you had anything done yet? I am just seeing your post June 29th.
How are you now? I had mine done around the same time as you. You look great! Have you fully adjusted?
