15 Days Post Op
I am 15 days post op. I went for my follow-up two days ago and my sutures were removed. The pain is down greatly (on average about a 4) but the swelling is still pretty significant. I'm down to taking Motrin twice today on a bad day. Yesterday I made it the entire day without medication and I haven't taken any today.
I have developed those lovely hard lumps along my sides and one larger one on the backside of my left leg. There is some hardness below my belly button area as well. I did talk to my doctor about it and he said it was completely normal and to massage them twice a day. Hopefully that will help but from all the other forums that I've read the hardness can last for several months. I would just continue to massage and keep an eye out for any changes.
My mobility is a lot better and I was able to do my first workout today. I can't do a lot of cardio that involves jumping. I attempted a few jumping jacks and almost cried lol. I will have to keep it low impact on the cardio for now, but I did do upper body weight training. Tomorrow I am going to try some lunges and squats and see how much of an ab work out I can get in without hurting myself.
All in all everything seems to be going OK. My Doctor advised I wear my compression garment for another three weeks, pretty much 24 hours a day. I will see him again in three weeks and hopefully by that time I will have some better results.

Thanks for the update. You look great and can see your progression. I'm glad to hear you are getting better. I have those hard lumps on the sides too and they are painful. I had my 1 week post op today and had the sutures removed. They said I can begin walking and don't do any weight lifting for another week.. I'm looking forward to getting active again. I actually miss the gym.

Annoyed
I'm 8 days postop and today's not a good day. I'm really tired of being swollen, I'm tired of being sore, and I'm tired of looking like I got beat up with a baseball bat. I'm definitely in a mode where I feel like why did I do this. I took pictures today and was so annoyed because I feel like I look better at 2 postop than I do today.
I would've thought by now that I would be in less pain. My thighs are still extremely sore and so is my back. My abdominals are not as bad, but definitely thought I would be in a better state than I am. The bruising on both sides of my rib cage have started to dissipate and are nearly invisible now. I'd say they'll be no trace of them in the next day or two. But my thighs and waist on the other hand, are a different story. Still very bruised and battered looking.
I go for my follow up in five days and hopefully he will have some reassuring news for me that I'm coming along well and not to be as depressed if I'm feeling right now. Will update again soon.

I hope it gets better for you. I'm 1 day post op of lipo on my abs and waist and my bum has bruising. I've started taking the arnica tabs and putting the cream on my bum, I hope it helps. Good luck to you.

Thank you and same to you! I think I was having an emotional breakdown that day lol. What a difference two days makes because I feel much better today.

How is your recovery coming along? Did your bruising get better, swelling down, etc.?

The recovery is coming along slowly but surely. The bruising has gotten a lot better but I do still have a lot of swelling. The pain has started to dissipate so I am able to get around a lot better. I just posted and updated review and to some more pictures.
