Post Op Day 33 First Day Exercising & Sex Error

I exercised for the first time in 4 weeks! I was so excited to do it :). I did 30 mins on the easy setting on an elliptical followed by 4 lower body exercises (squats, lunges, etc). Wow, I have lost my cardio conditioning and muscles! I was hugging and puffing on the level 1 elliptical setting! I wasn’t even using the arm part of the machine...lol! The leg exercises were crazy hard too. I only did 10 reps and 2 sets. My legs were wobbly before I finished. Holy cow!! Prior to surgery, I was exercising 6 days/week combo of cardio and strength training. I’m not sharing to brag. I’m just shocked by how my body changes in 4 weeks. I wonder how long it’s going to take to get back to where I was. BTW, the next morning my legs felt like I did 2000 burpees, haha! I’m so glad to be back at it!
Public service announcement—wait a while to be on the bottom during sex. No one else would probably be so silly, but I tried it. OMG! Ouch! My TT scar felt like it was being ripped apart from the friction of movement. My implants were very unhappy. Like 15 seconds into it, I called it off. Yikes! At that point I didn’t want to continue :(. My hubby and I have had sex several times since starting that back up around post op day 18. Each time I’ve been on top. I will be waiting many more weeks to try being on bottom.
I’m loving my results! I’m encouraged by my slow and steady progress. Happy healing ladies!

Post Op 4 Weeks Done!

Others have said that things get noticeably better at the 4 week mark...it’s true! I’ve really started to notice a difference in my energy level and general comfort! I am standing straight, walking at a normal pace, sleeping flat, and can wear my regular pants! Work this week was a little easier than the first week back. I am getting used to spanx compression versus the binder. I still feel more secure in the binder but my PS wants me to stop wearing it at night. My measurements have really come down since pre op. Here is where I am at right now:
Nipples: 37
Waist: 27 1/4
BB: 30 1/2
Hips: 37
Weight: 130
Pre-Op Measurements
Nipple: 36 1/4
Waist: 28
BB: 33 1/4
Hips: 37 3/4
Weight: 135.8
I think the weight loss is muscle loss :(. The added weight of my implant is basically a wash for the weight of the TT skin removal.
Healing wise—I still have a some glue on my TT incision. I think i have a couple new (small but new) stretch marks right around my TT line. Bummer but I know they will fade once the swelling is gone. My BB looks so great! The skin is light pink, not bright or angry pink anymore. My boobs are basically the same as last week. I’m massaging them and wearing bras 24/7. They will drop eventually :).
I am cleared to exercise!! Yahoo!! I’m going to start tomorrow. I’m going to resist the urge to jump back in where I left off 4 weeks ago :). That would be a disaster, lol! I’ll post an update to let you all know how exercising goes!
I have a follow up appt with my PS next week.
Happy healing ladies!

Post Op Day 23 Date Night & Bra Sizing

I surprised my hubby with a date night last night. It was my first time out on the town since surgery. We had so much fun! The date lasted about 3 hrs: a nice dinner and then to a bar for cocktails. I felt good the whole time. I turned into Cinderella though because right around the time we got home my body started hurting and my swelling kicked in. But hey, it was so fun to be out with my hubby! I wore spanx under my jumpsuit. I went braless—first time since surgery! I had heels on too. I included a couple of pics :).
The next day has been rough. My swelling has been crazy—biggest I’ve seen my belly. I am sure it’s because of the alcohol, carbs, salt, and activity. I’ve been in my binder and spanx all day. I think it’s going to take a couple of days to get back down to my smaller amount of swelling :). I think the time out of a bra helped my boobs drop some. My stubborn right side looks a lot better today! The date was totally worth the swelling but man, I’m uncomfortable.
I went to Nordstrom’s to get sized for a temporary bra. I have tried finding temp bras at Target but wanted to be fitted. I know my boobs have more D&F to do. I needed something better to wear under my professional clothes—sports bras don’t work for the office. So I was willing to spend $40 for a bra that probably won’t fit in a couple of months. The woman helping me at Nordstrom’s wonderful. I always have great experiences there. I told her about my surgery. She took her time helping me. I tried on a bunch of bras. The underwire options were so pretty! I have to wait until 3 months PO for those :). I bought a basic wireless black bra. She sized me at a 30G. Holy cow! I bought a 32 band though because I swell a lot still. I’m excited to see what size I settle into at the end of healing!
Happy healing everyone!!
