Always wanted to lift my upper lip for it is rather narrow and I was getting fed up with paying a lot of money to maintain it fuller with fillers (juvederm).
I decided to do it with Dr. Leslie Kuek from Singapore, but it is your reviews and photos and Dr. Kuek's impeccable job that prompted me to go public with my lips. In particular, I was amazed at the difference of quality between many lip lift surgeries published here and mine. It is for you to notice it, however...

they look great. Did you also get fillers in your bottom and top lip?

Thank you, glad you like the result! I always use fillers for both lips that would last for about a couple of years. Last time I used fillers was just about 18 months ago. However, I believe my both lips were still slightly inflated due to the fillers prior to the surgery. Because naturally my mouth is quite wide with thin lips, lifting up my upper lip has balanced my aesthetic definition of the mouth, it helps eliminate fillers, even if it is partly. Hence, no fish effect need not to bare. And I also could already tell this surgical intervention makes me look so much younger B-)

which fillers would last you a couple years??? I'm lucky if i get 6 months out of mine :(

I've used juvederm around my lips area about 4 times for the last 7/8 years or so. Though, I've noticed that the longer I use the less I need to top up - as if slowly but steadily it's been building up.

apologisies for the wrong image - tried to remove it and seems there is website glitches or else. Nevertheless, scar is a little itchy. Yesterday, was sun bathing - maybe a little sweaty, maybe a little to early. Eating, sleeping etc - normal. No pain, stop taking painkiller on the 2nd day post op!

Thank you for your updates! Can't wait to see how it all looks once the swelling is completely gone. :)

does your doctor use glue or stitch to do that it is good not to see black stitchs everywhere
January 19, 2016
There was no glue, just stitching, which were then removed on the 7th days post op. Those stitches were black but so tiny and accurate I could barely see them, apart from two ends sticking off each side of my nose I could never notice the sticthces unless I looked very close I'd see the lil dark strokes falling in line so symmetrical at exactly the same angle as if a Birkin was sewed lol

you looked great .post more ,im looking forward to do it soon.

Thank you! Where you're planning to do the surgery? At the consultation prior to your operation discuss with your doc things like - lip symmetry according to your nostrils and how best to do so to avoid nostrils enlarged. Be brave about the gap reduction between your lip and nose - keep in mind the lip will sink down a lot in a few months already. Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be alright - it is a mild surgery, although, very delicate.
Keep me posted.

Swelling has gone down.
January 15, 2016
Even more so, has the swelling come down by the 11th day after the operation. (as on the image). All worth it. From now on, most likely I'll come back if any problem occurs (flying back to London 13 hours on the 20th) or else in a year time, just to compare the difference.

Hi, Juliah! Congrats on finding such a marvelous surgeon in my part of the world, on his immaculate stitching, and on your results! Do you know if Dr. Keuk removed skin alone, or did he put in permanent sutures to 'anchor' the lift?
January 15, 2016
Thanks!
Yes, Dr. Kuek removed the 6mm skin in the shape as illustrated on my very first image. I did not want to put any permanent sutures or else as this may bring the same 'Fish Effect' as fillers do.

Thanks for your reply, Juliah ... by now you must be safely back in the U.K. How are you faring?
I also appreciate your reply - thank you. Given that you stated that you didn't want to put any permanent sutures in, was this contrary to Dr. Kuek's recommendations? I am asking because I'm scheduling a revision of this procedure soon; my lip dropped noticeably after the initial lift, which left me with a very visible & unsightly scar! I've had a consultation with a surgeon in the U.S. who does many lip lifts, and always recommends the permanent suture. Given my experience, I am inclined to agree; however, Singapore is so much closer to home than the U.S., so if that's an option with Dr. Kuek, I'd love to explore it! Many thanks again ... Be well.

Apologises for my delay. In response to your question - I was very firm as to what I intent to do and being so precise and determine I am afraid I didn't leave any chance for Dr. Kuek to suggest anything else. He only made sure that he understood me correctly as to what surgery I was referring to as lip lift and we proceeded the same day of our first appointment. Previously, I was only in touch with him via email including a pile of research I did about doctors in Singapore, BKK and Saul.
Insofar, my lip did not drop dramatically (perhaps, it is just not yet...), but it did become thinner & my nose does look longer & I have barely visible scar if at all by now.
All in one, I suggest you talk to Dr. Kuek. He is, indeed professional and a very humble Asian man, who has a very delicate hands.
If any questions keep me posted !

I had local anaesthesia. First there was cream to numb your inner upper lip area prior to the anaesthetic injection. After that, I didn't feel the injection much, apart from uncomfortable feeling and anxiety. I, also did ask to add some more anaesthesia on my left side before the operation, as I felt it was not so stony compare to my right side. Though, I was awaken throughout the surgery and my adrenalin was kicking in high, I did not feel anything at all. Except at some point, I felt a little tension, - it could be during the 6mm skin removal.
Nonetheless, one hour went by very quickly. This was my first local anaesthesia. I was very anxious and there was no need. Don't worry, you will be fine. The good news is that if you happen to feel anything you can always stop the procedure momentally and ask for more injection.
Good luck to you!

Thank you! I was absolutely positive about this surgery and finally I made it and with the right doc! Unfortunately, there is no payment plan and all amount paid off in advance. There is also no paypal or phone payment either, which was particularly inconvenient for me, but you can try your luck. This is doctor's direct email: *******@yahoo.com Good luck and stay tuned - I'll be uploading more images periodically B-)
Warmest,
