360 Lipo 2 Weeks Post Op
So happy things are getting better now. I’m still sleeping upstairs in my bed but slightly uncomfortable throughout the night. Mainly because the foaming padding inside my garment restricts me from getting into positions I like (which I’m sure that may be the point of the padding, ha).
I have a few hard spots within the areas where fat was removed, which is to be expected. I’m massaging those areas throughout the day so hopefully those will continue to soften up. Next week, I have another follow up appointment and my nurse stated I should be able to schedule a lymphatic massage then as well. Dr. G’s office offers 2 of these massage appointments free after any procedure. I’m sure this will also help greatly with the leftover hard spots and swelling.
I’m starting to feel those stinger or sharp pains some people have mentioned. But I know those are just my nerves recovering (I think). They don’t last long at all, so I just rub the spot and continue about my day. The results are starting to look very nice even with residual swelling and hard areas. Again, I’ve posted updated pics along with a photo collage for comparison.

So I made it, Day 7!!! Full week post op. I finally slept upstairs in my bed for the night. Still found it uncomfortable to get into a good sleeping position but at least I’m no longer on the couch. I went in for my follow up appointment and my nurse Jodi says I’m healing well.
She instructed me to use foam padding (which they provided) inside my garment. This will help with healing, swelling, and makes the garment more comfortable.
Also, I need to continue to use my ointment for another week along with massaging the areas where fat was removed. There were some hard areas around my stomach and back that Jodi mentioned massaging will help to loosen up. She also mentioned this can be done with the foam inserted inside the garment.
After my appointment, I purchased a cheap massage roller to assist with massaging those areas. Since I need to do the massages 4-5 times a day, 5 minutes each time, I thought the roller would be helpful. I’m also going back to work Monday. This means I was off from work a total of 10 calendar days. I have a desk job plus work from home so I should be fine. My updated pics show how the swelling and lumpiness is going down now. Also the bruising on my tail bone is very slowly fading away. I’ll post updated pics in another week to show a comparison from 1 week post op vs. 2 week post op.

360 Lipo Days 2 & 3 Post Op
Day 2 - I still had soreness when getting up and down from a sitting position. Also continued to struggle finding a comfortable sleeping position, so I remained on the couch. Don’t know if I mentioned this before but there was also soreness with my throat due to the LMA mask they used during surgery. However that pain is gone now. Oh and Dr. G’s office provided me with a care package after surgery which included extra gauzes, larger pads (I assume for drainage but I didn’t use them) and ointment.
Funny thing, after removing my big bandages and replacing them with band-aids I also lined my garment with maxi pads, LOL. This provided cushion between the garment and my skin. I was going to order some lipo foam to place in my garment but my surgeon’s office stated they will give me some on my follow up visit in a few days so I didn’t have to spend money on purchasing the foam padding.
Day 3 - Today was my official day of no pain meds. In total I only took 4 pills. The night after surgery, twice during the first day and once on the second day. There hasn’t been much pain, only discomfort and soreness. I think it’s worth mentioning back in August 2021, I had breast augmentation surgery with Dr. G’s office and by FAR this liposuction recovery is less painful. With the breast augmentation surgery, the implant was placed underneath my muscle wall which required the muscle to be cut; thus, resulting in a more painful recovery. This time around, my liposuction discomfort (not pain) is like being bruised really badly. Almost how you would imagine a punching bag would feel. BUT it’s bearable, like so bearable. It really does help getting up to walk around every hour on the hour for 10 minutes. I actually get excited about my upcoming ventures around the house, lol.
I was able to shower today. Per my instructions you can shower 48 hours after surgery and the water felt great!!! My stomach and sides felt so tight (like I did 1,000 crunches) and my entire abdomen section is still pretty sore and numb. I didn’t place anymore bandaids on my incisions and just used bacitracin ointment over where I thought my incisions were (remember they are so small I can barley see them). Oh yeah, I’m not sure when this sleeping situation will get better but for now, the couch and I are good friends - ha.
These updated pics are after my shower and you can see the swelling has gone down in the lower part of my body. Also it’s not as red. There’s still some bruising on my tail bone but I’m sure that’s because most of my pressure is placed there day and night as I sit. Hopefully with my moving around a little more and eventually sleeping normal, this will go away in no time. I also did a side by side comparison of Day 1 post op vs Day 3 post op.
