WORTH IT
This website has been a great deal of help for me so I’m going to share my experience in case I can be a help to others also. Let me start with a little background on myself. I’m 40 yrs. old, one kid, 5’10”, and I weigh 160 pounds. As you’ll see with my before pics, I carried all my weight in my stomach. I did try working out, eating right, intermittent fasting, etc. The last before pic (in the Adidas sports bra) was after my attempts at loosing weight but as you can see my gut remained as well as the fat on my sides and rolls on my back.
In speaking with Dr. Goldman, he explained the areas he could lipo. He also explained the technique he would be using and my expected results. Dr. G (as I will call him during these posts, is very soft spoken, patient, and informative. I came with a list of questions and he answered them all. The entire staff at his office is absolutely the best. Friendly, polite, and very welcoming. Tomorrow is surgery, so I’ll have another update (no pics as I’ll have all my dressings on).

360 Lipo Day of Surgery

Surgery Day!!! My nurse greeted me and began the process of prepping me for surgery. I gave an urine sample, then walked to my waiting room, changed into my surgical gown, and went over some health questions. Afterwards my nurse asked if I had any questions and mentioned Dr. G would be in to mark the areas on my body for surgery. Again, I can’t say this enough - everyone at this practice is the best. My nurse gave me a heated blanket, asked if I wanted a heater beside me and made me feel so comfortable by giving me reassurance this would be over before I knew it.
As promised Dr. G came in and went over all the areas he would take fat from. This is where I started getting really excited. Just knowing all those stubborn fat pockets would no longer be there!!! Dr. G would be removing fat from my abdominal, a little fat under my belly button, my flanks, and fat around my bra line - hence the name 360 liposuction :)
My anesthesiologist came in and gave me even more detail of my procedure. Explained my IV would be placed in me shortly and that Dr. G would also be giving me local anesthesia in the areas he would be removing fat from. She also explained how I would lay down on the surgical bed once in the room and how my recovery would be upon waking up. Next thing I knew, I was waking up from surgery, LOL. As a side effect from the anesthesia I was shivering like crazy. My nurse provided me with a heater that blew right underneath my blanket. She offered me something to drink and my choice of crackers to eat while I was coming to. Surprisingly they also dressed me in my compression garment I was to bring today. I was surprised after reading reviews where the nurses helped the patient get into the garment AFTER surgery. But not Dr. G’s office, I was already sucked into my mine once I woke up which I’m super grateful for.
They called my ride and explained all the after care instructions and provided paperwork going over the same thing. This was so helpful that I didn’t need to necessarily read through all this as it was also explained to the person looking after me post surgery. Oh another good thing is Dr. G’s office mailed my prescription a week before surgery so we didn’t need to worry about filing that afterwards.
I’m home now and surprisingly feeling OK with minimum pain or discomfort but I believe that’s because of the local anesthesia used. Once the anesthesia leaves my body I’m sure I won’t be so lucky but we’ll see tomorrow. Dr. G also called me tonight to check on me. He stated to call or text him if I need anything. Tomorrow I’ll post another update and hopefully with some pictures as well.

360 Lipo Day 1 Post Op

Well last night was a little rough and not because of any pain but because I couldn’t find a comfortable position to fall asleep. I settled for the couch which has a reclining section to it. Around 4 in the morning, I took my prescription medicine which is just a very strong Tylenol. I was pretty sore getting up from the couch. As instructed I have to walk every hour for 10 minutes. Once I’m up walking around, I feel ok. But getting up and sitting back down is where my discomfort comes in.

I changed my bandages and the bleeding has stopped. Not sure how long bleeding should last for but mine stopped fairly quickly. The incisions are very very small, like the size of my pinky nail. It was hard for me to even find the incisions. After removing the big gauzes placed on me after surgery, I replaced them with smaller band-aids. As you can see in the pics they are a beige color.

I believe I had maybe around six to eight incisions from what I can tell (again they are very small). Two in front, one on each of my sides (I couldn’t locate the incisions for these though), and some more around my tail bone and where my bra band is on my back. As you’ll see, there is significant redness and swelling going on with the lower part of my body. My assumption is the medicine is draining and since I’m sitting most of the day (taking it easy) this is where the excess fluid is moving to??? There is visible difference with my sides and back already even with the swelling which is pleasing to see. I’ll probably wait a few days before making another post just so I can upload more pics that show a difference from day 1 of surgery to maybe like day 5.
