ORIGINAL POST
360 body lift
I had gastric bypass surgery June of 2020 and successfully lost 127 pounds. I’ve maintained my weight for over a year and was ready to take the next step with loose skin removal surgery. My experience with Dr. Wheeler was incredible. I had my consultation with him in June 2022 and my surgery was schedule for October 2022. He was 100% honest with me regarding everything. He recommended exactly what I needed. I am now a little over 3 weeks post op and am right where I expected to be. Swollen and sore, but on my way to be fully healed.
The day of surgery was a breeze. I walked in, changed into my gown, was re marked and was calmed by the presence of the nurses that were there taking care of me. The anesthesiologist was very comforting and made me feel better about going under. Before I knew it I was awake and in the recovery room. Recovery was tough but I made it through and was comfortable through the night. The next more I was released and sent home to heal. The recovery process at home has been the hardest part. I had a drain-less surgery, therefore I did not have to deal with drains which was amazing. I had my 5 day post op check and everything was looking good. I then went in for my 2 week post op appointment and had some fluid drained that was sitting at the bottom of my stomach, I am hoping that I will just have one more time where I have to be drained and will be able to see my results. Recovery requires patience and the ability to rest, so take your time and go slow. I have no regrets with the surgery and cannot wait to see my final results. Dr Wheeler is an honest, incredible surgeon who does beautiful work. He takes pride in his work and for that, I’ll pay good money. Thank you Dr Wheeler and staff at Plastic Surgery Northwest for taking such good care of me.

How did he do your thighs without a thigh lift? I'm curious be I also need a circumferential body lift but I think my thighs are the worst part. Thanks for any info you can provide or additional photos.

My thighs turned out great! In addition to my running and weight lifting, the skin is minimal!

Did you go through insurance for any of this, if so which insurance and did you have to appeal at all?
Also would you share the cost of the procedures?
I am in the Seattle area but can't seem to find a doctor that's willing to submit and appeal if necessary to insurance and can't afford to pay the full thing out of pocket.
