My healing has been slower than I thought. My left breast on the T incision is having some complications. My PS is still saying everything is great and is normal. I 100% have no doubt that he is right. He’s been great and I do love them, just ready to wear normal bras, workout like I used to, and not wear a bra at night. He did clear me to workout last visit but of course listen to my body and stuck to low impact. Since my surgery I’ve lost only 5 lbs but I guess it’s better than nothing :) . Here are some pictures (trust me they look better in person). I go tomorrow for another visit, I see him every week and was told we might start just once a month after this one. Kind of sad cause I like to see him!

I think I am like one week ahead of your healing process so it feels good to have another person. My right breast has been having some difficulty in healing and they are taking a while to drop...wishing you a happy recovery.

Thanks for your update. And sorry to hear about your wound issues, but it sounds like your PS is on top of the situation. I also had a little wound in my t-zone. Seems to be quite common. You mentioned you’ve lost some weight. One thing to consider is that post surgically your body needs extra calories, protein and water to heal your damaged cells. So although it may be tempting to want to lose a weight you may want to put that off... until your wounds are completely healed. Not to mention you really don’t look like you need to lose any weight, imo. During my first month postop I drank protein shakes in between my meals to ensure I got enough protein. I was also instructed to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. Hope you don’t mind my two cents on the subject. :-)

Yeah I constantly think about losing weight since I lost 50 lbs before surgery makes me not want to stop but you did make a good point :) after my last meeting with my PS he did recommend to take it easier than I have been but I will take your advice and drink more water and increase my protein. I love this website for advice like this so thank you! :)

This is hard and depressing as I had 2 open wounds at my T junction too. It opened pretty big and grossed me out. The PS stated it is very common. I was like that for a few weeks. My PS prescribed bactroban and they closed up quick. It’s all in my profile if your interested in checking it out. My last update is my before & after pics. Be patient, this will pass and get better. Good luck with everything & Happy healing dear. If I can help in anyway, let me know.

Awe thank you for sharing. I too get depressed about it but I have all the faith in the world with my PS. I’ve known him for years so that helps and plus all this great advice I get from woman like you. Thanks for sharing your story cause it does make me be patience with this journey and excited for the outcome:)

How are your incisions now? I had issues with my T incision as well I’m 10 months post op. It took me several weeks to heal but now I’m working on getting my scars lightened.

Hey love!!! your results are amazing looking! I had trouble at my T-zone site too and it takes time to heal. What are you using to help close the wounds or just keeping the clean is all? Either way your PS did an amazing job. Happy Healing!!!

3 weeks!

It’s been three weeks and I’m still healing. Soreness is really only in the morning and at night. My T incisions and one of my nipple is getting extra loving with Silverdene (antibiotic cream) just so it heals better. Doctor told me it’s normal. Have some parts on the arreolas where the color isn’t matching my color and it’s just cause of healing, doctor said that comes back with time. Other than that I love them! Have been going to the doctors every week and I’m hoping next meeting he allows me to workout, fingers crossed!

Second post op apt

lnickles
Had my second post op yesterday and everything went great! Dr. Burnthouse is seriously the best! I thought we were going to remove all the tape however he just did two on one of my nipple since it has scabbed pretty bad so I could put cream on them to help with the healing process. He did say everything looked normal, was worried about my nipples but he reassured me I was healing just fine. My nipples are like a rug burn he said and after my shower this morning it looked like everything is healing great. I'll send updates as I go.
