2 months post op pictures
2 months post op!
Was finally able to wear jeans over the weekend! My swelling is still very up down, but I feel like I have more good than bad days. I can definitely tell I swell from alcohol and sodium. I’m very good during the week, but sometimes I like to indulge on the weekends! I’m very happy that I’m starting to see my shape take place! I can’t wait to see how I can transform my body with working out. Dr Snyder cleared me for very light ab work outs. No chest exercises but I can do as much cardio as I want! I’m so much more comfortable in clothes! I will say that the mental part of the surgery was and still is a struggle. My mind sometimes still sees the same body I had when I catch my reflection in the mirror. I like to look at my before and after photos to remind myself how far I’ve come!
Almost 3 week update
I’ll be 3 weeks post op in 2 days. I had an infection in my right breast and Dr Snyder was on top of it and prescribed a topical ointment and antibiotics that I’m currently still taking. The first week is all kind of a blur and I don’t remember much. Probably from the pain medication. After the first week I started to feel better and was walking more but felt like I couldn’t stand up for more than 15 min at a time with out back pain. I’m a hairstylist and already had some back issues from my job. I went in for my post op appointment 1 week after my surgery. Dr Snyder told me the more I get up and moving the better I will feel. I will tell you, I’m a firm believer in that! I started moving more and then it just got easier and easier from there. My swelling is starting to go down but it’s still there. I like comparing pics because I’m starting to see things take their shape. I was worried becuase my breast looked boxy after my surgery, but Dr Snyder assured me things will round out. I’m going to start my scar therapy this week and I’m super excited to see this scar start to fade! Dr Snyder said they should heal really nice! I’ve also got the clearance for light cardio, so I’ve been using my peloton bike! I’m just doing low impact rides so I don’t over for it. I’ll keep updating randomly because I know I liked to see people’s recovery pictures months later.
