Are you able to shave yet or not yet?
No im still scared... i tryed to the other day but not exactly on the scar :(
Glad it is closing up...
Yea im aglad too.. i have way more movement on my left arm now and my right it like 97% there so i feel at leat some progress was done... ( i noticed because i was able to straighten my own hair)
I just want to reach out and hug you!
Thank you!!! I accept the hug. :(
It took me a while also. I shaved around the scar as best as I could.
Mariposa the doctor did NOT closed the 3 layersof skin OMG.. but hey you will heal them then I u am just wait 1-2 years and cover the scar with a skin plot tattoo! That matches your color skin.. hope by now you are healing.. hugs for you..

Update Now 5w4d post-op:

Well my PS did get back to me and i went down to Tijuana Mx. to see him that same week he checked them out and remove remaining stitches (Started spitting out stitches at 2weeks post op) he said unfortunately im that “rare case” that happens not so often to patients that get this procedure done. (SUCKS FOR ME BIG TIME) im really bummed and regret getting it done... he told me it will take 3-4 extra weeks to completely heal but have a even bigger scar than usual... im keeping them dray as much as i can and wrapped up in Ace bandages, & compressed with my surgical garment. I till have a big hole on both arms but look and feel better since my visit.... i will keep updating as i get progress.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you
I know im sorry too... i guess its just a well lesson learned... :(
Worse comes to worse you can always get your scar corrected. I would say to do it locally (in the US) if you can.
Yes i totally agree maybe in the fute when i get to build enough courage im still very sensitive and bummed about the whole thing :(
I hear you - it's a hard thing to go through.
Why is this happening? Are you a smoker by any chance?

Are you keeping them wrapped? I had my surgery on April 16th and have stayed in ace wraps and now a compression sleeve and I’m healing very well. I hope you get in touch with your surgeon
Oh my word. I hope you are feeling better. Did your PS email you back or did you at least try to call him? Make sure you wrap them up and don’t do anything. Rest your arms… put compression sled on. I hope your feeling better. It’ll be better. Post more pictures on your progress. Keep your spirits up.
I meant compression sleeves on
Hi 1231kk, Thank you, Yes im keeping them wrapped and dry im doing much better now.. at one point i had my armpit area wide open it was awful... i very much regret getting this procedure done... :/
Thank you so much for ur positive thoughts <3 it means a lot.. these past 5 &1/2 weeks been hell. My PS did get back to me and i had to go drive down to Tijuana Mx. That same weekend to get them check out... they remove the remaining stitches ( stated spitting out stitches at 3weeks+) I very much regret getting this surgery done... Im keeping them wrapped and dry most of the time and started to use my compression garment again (my other one was too tight and made it very uncomfortable when i was swollen) so basically recovering super- slowly:/...
Thank you so much for sharing. How are you doing now?
how r u now
Are they dissolvable stiches?
When is your next post-op?
