I mentioned it in a previous update but I am now getting LHR on my armpits. The attached pictures were take earlier this week, with two weeks of full growth after three treatments.

The chest and abdomen hair removal has been going great. Just comparing my current pictures now with my first one in August, there is such a reduction in the number of follicles. I’ve had a total of six IPL treatments and three laser treatments in this area.

I’ve updated my review to worth it as I’ve seen success in multiple body areas. A few things to note:

1. Make sure you go to a place with a quality LASER. You can read my earlier reviews for my specific experiences with this, but make the decision once for a more effective treatment.
2. If the laser your using is a Candela Gentlemax Pro the pain level increases noticeably after the forth treatment, as the level of intensity increases each treatment. I am on a level 22 (6 treatments) for my Brazilian and it is enough to make me flinch in the perineum.
3. If you are doing a large area it will take many treatments to get close to hairless. If possible I’d recommend paying per treatment or paying for an unlimited number. Combining both my IPL and Laser treatments I’m currently at 9 treatments for my chest and abs.

Can you do an update/progress on the Brazilian?

I have a treatment this week so I'll probably do a general update ~ 2 weeks later.

Just pockets

I actually had a treatment today, but the following update and pictures are in reference to my January treatment results. It has been about 5 weeks and the growth is pretty sparse in general. The results have been good enough that I didn’t shave at all until the day before my appointment. My chest and abdomen look pretty clear but you can notice some pockets of hair upon closer examination. I was never very hairy here but it is amazing how different it feels to the touch. Definitely, one of the benefits of LHR is that baby smooth feel of you skin in the treated areas.
I mentioned previously in an earlier update that I also started doing underarms and a Brazilian. Today was my third and fifth treatments of those areas respectively. While both areas have responded well, there are some trouble spots. The upper, inner area of my left thigh has a high density of follicles. The perineum is also particularly dense for me. For the underarms it is in the crevices. Kudos to anyone with noticeable muscle definition who manages to successfully shave their underarms. Mine always look like a war zone after I shave them prior to treatment.
Pain wise the treatments have been getting more intense. I don’t take or use anything to reduce the pain so these are my legitimate reactions. For the laser used on me, regardless of the area, the first treatment or two is very mild. The fourth treatment is where the power seems to really ramp up noticeably. In some of those aforementioned dense areas (perineum, upper thighs) the pain level is enough to make me flinch. In order to help combat this I prefer my technician go at a slower cadence, with nearly 1400 shots all over my treatment areas it can get pretty intense.
Thanks for reading. I’ll give another update in mid March prior to my next treatment.

Been awhile...

Quite a few things have changed since my last update. First, I finished my original six treatments. I didn’t post any updates as I wasn’t seeing any noticeable decrease in body hair between sessions. After, the sixth session I decided to wait a bit, about 4 weeks, to see if more hair would grow back. It did, quite a bit actually. I found this mildly infuriating, and decided to cancel any upcoming treatments at my original location.
I was currently undergoing a different treatment at another location and opted to start doing my chest, abs, and underarms there as well. At this place they offer unlimited treatments, so I can go as long as it takes. It was about 6 weeks between my sixth session at my last location and the first one at my new location.
I followed the same protocol of shaving the day of the treatment. The new location uses a Candela GentleMax Pro laser, of which I am on the Alex skin type 2 setting. This is an actual high quality laser vs the AFT (IPL) they used at my last location. There is a different sensation during the procedure as well. I still come out looking like I was stung by bees but it goes away in about a day and I haven’t had any burns.
I’ve attached some pictures. In these I actually haven’t done any shaving since before the procedure. I noticed after 2 weeks of daily exfoliating several of the hairs just fall out. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come.

Hi , thanks for sharing. Any luck now?

So far it has been good, as growth has definitely decreased in some areas. I just had another session this past Thursday, which was noticeably more intense. I'll give it a bit of time to grow and will provide a full update with pictures by mid February.
