27 yr old African American Female needed a chin implant and buccal fat removal.
WORTH IT$2,800
So I had my procedure today. My experience with Dr Shah and his staff was pleasant. His medical assistants were very friendly and helpful, so was Dr. Shah. My appointment was at 10:30 am, once I arrived everything went smoothly I didn't have to wait long at all. I filled out paper work and took some meds to help relieve pain and to calm my nerves. Once that was done Dr. Shah came in answered all my questions because I stressed to him that I did not want to look to "boxy" or "masculine" in the chin and that I didn't want to have my face too sunken in from the buccal fat procedure. He reassured me that everything was going to be fine. Once that was done he whisked me off to the operating room.
He numbed my chin with 6 shots and two inside of mouth. Once he started on the chin implant I hardly felt anything but some tugging and scrapping of bone, which wasn't too bad either that took all of 15 mins. The he went to the buccal fat which was very painful I actually felt the fat being pulled and detached from cheeks. I'll admit I did scream and almost cried but I didn't punk out like no b***h lol. I feel as tho he did not get all of my buccal fat out because I was in so much pain, but it's too early to tell because Im so swollen. Once both procedures was done I was patched up and ready to go. The entire procedure took about 40 mins top. Once my mom was downstairs to pick me up the sweet assistant walked me all the way to my car to make sure I got in safe.
On my way home I stopped by my pharmacy to get my prescription filled. As the I was waiting on my prescription to be filled the meds they gave me at the office started to wear off and I was in some really bad pain mainly in my chin. It took about 2 1/2 hours for them to be ready I'm taking (Norco), once I took I laid down and took a nap. So for now all Im really doing is eating, relaxing, and taking my meds. I will post pics and keep you all updated

Still swollen
It's been 3 days since my surgery and I'm still pretty swollen. I've been sleeping sitting up with two body pillows a supporting my back and one of those airplane pillows around my neck. Sleeping has been a little difficult but once the meds kicked in I sleep like a baby. I've been eating soft foods like oatmeal and smoothies. I tried eating some spaghetti but my mouth it still swollen so it made it hard for me to chew. No unbearable pain I think mainly because I stay on top of my meds. I'm trying to stay out of the mirror but I feel like I've should of gotten an medium implant instead of the small and I'm hoping he took enough buccal fat as well, but I won't be able to tell until the swelling goes down. I'm very happy with my decision to go through with the procedure even though I do not have any family support. I just hope I get the results I'm looking for and I don't end up looking like I did before my procedure.
