In December, 2015, my lifelong thick and healthy hair started breaking off by the handful and falling out following a highlighting process that was left on way too long by my hairdresser. On January 25, 2016, I had my first treatment. Dr. Paul took two vials of my blood and used a special machine to spin my blood to produce Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). This process converted my dark red blood to produce two vials that contained dark red blood cells at the bottom, bright white blood cells in the middle and yellowish platelet rich plasma at the top. He put the platelet rich plasma into several syringes mixed with other fluids and injected them into my scalp at the front of my hairline area where my hair was thinning the most. Of course, Dr. Paul numbed the area first. The numbing process was the only thing that was at all painful. On my second visit yesterday, we discussed the numbing process and Dr. Paul used a "tuning fork" like device (my words) that when held against my forehead during the numbing injections disguised 99% of the pain. I have a whole new crop of hairs right where I want and need them - that are about an inch long right now. They are doing a great job letting me part my hair again - without seeing lots of scalp.
