I requested my before photos and received them today. I still have a small part of swelling in either side but I am now even happier I had the surgery. How I was before is so normal and natural but sadly I could not come to terms with it so I think my confidence will benefit a lot from this.

Hello, has your sensation been affected at all?
Not at all, my surgeon was very good. I asked this question just before heading in to surgery and he said none of the labia plasty, clitoral hood reduction etc surgeries should effect sensation. The skin itself can take some time for full feeling to come back in it

My surgeon said he wont even do the clitoral hood reduction just the labiaplasty. Which i am okay with. I want to schedule it for thursday but i am super nervous about ONLY my sensation. How long did it take you or your sensation to come back??
I didn't have the clit hood reduction either. Try not to worry about sensation. I couldn't tell you for sure because I was cringed out by touching the edge of the skin for at least 14 days haha, I just wanted to let the stitches and general healing settle. I don't really know if I lost skin sensation temporarily or not cos it's a bizarre area to feel touch to anyway but nothing feels different just less there. This is hard to explain so I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense!

I got it done on Thursday! I seem pretty swollen. The swelling looks very assymetric and it looks really awful I hope this is no where close to the final result! I am assuming it won’t be.
Don't stare at it too much or stress. You won't be anywhere near close to looking like your end result until at least 3-4 weeks and I'm even at 3 months now but still have small amounts of swelling as it is 3-6 months before everything completely settles. However I started feeling comfortable to touch it after about 2 weeks

Your results are some of the best I’ve seen. I’m scheduled to have it done in September, but I might back out. I’m just too nervous it will look scalloped.
What made you want to get surgery and how did you decide?
Thank you! It was strange to get used to shaving and masturbating as the lips slipped through your fingers so much easier compared to before haha. I also had my doubts, I emailed the first time around November but didn't actually go through with booking in for a consultation until mid December, I'm really glad I did it as for me I think if I hadn't have done it now I defo would have later down the line anyway. It was always something I had though about. Up close it does look a little like that however that is what makes it look more like a natural edge of skin
I have wanted the surgery and always been conscious of the area since I was probably 13, I had been financially able to do it for about a year before I actually went ahead but I had a partner at the time who was never bothered by it so when we split it seemed the easier time to go ahead as the healing time didn't matter I could take 6, 8 weeks or 10 weeks, however long I needed without there being a temptation of trying to have sex lol

However I just had a labia plasty so it may be a little longer healing time for you
No different in sensation, I have toys but they aren't very big. I found I could at 4 weeks, I was extra cautious for the first few times. I have found it harder to hold the lips apart for this and when shaving
Also how long did you wait to get a wax???
I haven't had a wax since before my surgery, I probably won't unless I'm going on holiday. I just stick to shaving. I do find it harder to shave everywhere as there is less to grip when holding the lips haha
Ohh ok ya I’m worried about getting a wax bc of the delicate skin but I haven’t tried shaving yet I can’t handle having hair down there but I was also thinking the same thing about the lips ahah the only benefit we had from them

10 weeks after

Technically it’s been 9 weeks and 6 days but I wanted to upload an update before I forgot again! Not much new to say, no pain, every activity has resumed as normal. I have not had sex as the UK is on lockdown from coronavirus so this is the one part I cannot comment on however everything feels and looks very healed! I noticed in the first few weeks (after I stopped pouring warm water down after I had a wee) that when I would wee, wipe then stand up (as the outer lips now closed over the inner lips) I would have a little dribble extra come out...it’s hard to explain and I’m only including this as I’ve not seen it written on any other reviews so thought I’d put the info out there haha. This could have been down to the fact I was wiping very gently and not pressing hard however my friend who has naturally small lips said it does sometimes happen to her, so who knows. I have also found I don’t discharge through the day as much as I used to, assuming it’s as it can now sit in the lips? Another one i’m not quite sure on. I (hopefully) have a face to face check up in a few weeks just so they can see how everything is. Hope this has helped some of you and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to message :)
