WORTH IT$2,000
I used to have a huge nose with a bull-like flare. I was always teased about it, which affected my self esteem. I finally got an isolated nostril reduction and it looks amazing. That simple change has reverted the size of my entire nose back to my adolescent years. I love it! Next, I want to get an upper lip lift.

Wow I had just posted a question about African American alarplasty and if I should get it in the mean time before I have a rhinoplasty! I've never seen one done without a rhinoplasty before and our noses are so similar! Thank you for sharing, you're nose looks great!

Thanks hun! I honestly didn't want a full rhino because it would be more painful, require more recovery time, and it would look like a move drastic change. I wanted to continue to look like myself and just enhance my look with a more youthful nose. I read that the nose grows a fraction of an inch annually, and I could see that my nose grew considerably since my teens.

It cost two thousand dollars. The procedure took about 30 minutes. But I also waited around 30 minutes for the anesthetics to numb my nose. So overall, about an hour.

Hey, I found the number for his main office in Long Island. But remember he has offices in Manhattan and Queens so you might still want to use ZocDoc so that you can see his schedule at each location and book online. But anyway, here it is. (631) 864-4111

I met with Doctor Landsman 72 hours after the procedure to remove some sutures. He was a little rough with removing them but his assistant helped and it looks amazing!

U must of put de wrong price! Wat was $2,000???
User Avatar

Yes honey, that is the correct price. I will spell it out so that you know it was not a typo. It cost two thousand. But I think it depends on how thin your skin is and how much of your nostril you need to remove. Go to a free consultation in Manhattan on a Wednesday. I booked mine on ZocDoc.

Hey I really love your new nose & im thinking about getting the same procedure with the same doctor... Are u still happy with your results ? & do u think u should have just gotten rhinoplasty ?

I got an alarplasty for 3 reasons. Reason #1: I didn't want a drastic change. I am single, and I want whoever I end up with to see the real me and have realistic expectations for our future children. Reason #2: I wanted minimal scarring. My skin develops hypertrophic scars, so the fewer incisions and cutting, the better. Reason #3: I was unsure about a full rhinoplasty, but 100% sure about a nostril reduction. I figured that if I need more then I will get my nose fixed in stages. At this point, I like the way I look. My face is so recognizable that friends, family, and even my mom still haven't noticed a difference. So overall I would recommend it. Alarplasty is cost effective and subtle with very little down time. I may get a closed-rhinoplasty in the future but that at this point, I think I'm good.

He really knows what he is doing so I truly recommend him. You will be able to drive home after the procedure with ease. It you get it done in Manhattan, that might be closer to home. Ask about it and keep me updated. I like to know how many people I have helped.

3 weeks post op

Its been 3 weeks and I think I'm developing a hypertrophic scar on the left side of my nose. I've had a raised scar before so I am managing this one well by using a hair pin to apply pressure. I went out with my girlfriends for my birthday and took a photo which is listed as my after photo. My crooked smile makes my nose look a crooked, but overall, I have noticed a huge difference in my love life. So far guys have physically fought over me at bars, twice. That has never happened to me before. I honestly think that gathering the nostrils closer has given the center of my nose a lift, so I'm glad that I didn't get an implant. I also wanted to look recognizable after the procedure, which I do. I'm in love with my new nose.
