Update on why I cancelled my surgery with Dr. Fryer of SLC

Review of my conselataion with Richard H. Fryer, MD
Salt Lake City Plastic Surgeon

I pre-paid to hold a surgery date before my initial consultation for a Breast Augmentation because the reviews here online were (so good). When I actually got to my consultation I asked the front desk women how much it would cost to do a Fat Transfer to the Breast instead of a BA, and she told me it would be $1-2,000 dollars more than Breast Augmentation, (thats a pretty normal price if you look it up here). I was curious about it because here on RS the reviews are very similar in happiness for the people who have done it. I told him if I could call them my breasts I wouldn't care about not having much volume, were talking 150 cc's of transfer we would keep after half the fat dissipates). During my conselation he told me he would do 50% off the liposuction for the fat transfer and than left during our appointment to go see someone else, I waited 20mins in my gown and the nurse told me they could get the quote for me. They brought me the quote withought the discount for the liposuction at $14,500 in total for only the fat transfer to the breast. Basically I feel like rather than telling me he's bad at it or unwilling to do fat transfers, (I really wanted to use my fat in a transfer and not waste it) he tried to dissuade me by telling me how I would be wearing a dipper with fluid tubes draining out of me for a few days after, (which he said totally wouldn't be worth it), and he did so in a way that wasn't meant to be medically informative, he was saying it and other things all in a way where he was overtly trying to dissuade me with ought just being straight with me. It was a really bazaar appointment to the point that I completely gave up the money I put down to hold my surgery date, and choose another plastic surgeon. Oh and Dr. Fryer basically said everyone has asymmetry and that I noticed it because they were my boobs. He said wouldn't be helping to fix the asymmetry and that it would get much worse after a BA and the differences would become more noticeable the larger the implants were. My new plastic brought up my asymmetry and offered to use two different sized implants, (I decided to do a BA after all), and my right breast is noticeably different sized than my left breast. Also, he offered to fix my nipple internally that is slightly drooping. He also told me when Fryer didn't that the fold under my boobs are at different heights. Personally I want my medical care providers to inform me of the situation and tell me what the options are, (the options for treatment and probable outcome), and than to allow me to make a informed decision about my life and body. If you want someone who will make decisions for you and use manipulative language to get you to agree with the decision they want you too, I would go with Dr. Fryer

Consultation with Dr. Ross M. Blagg and new surgery date!

So Dr. Blagg is really professional, and informative. He also in no way pressured me to make any decisions. I feel completely confident in the Liposuction we will be doing under my bum and around my waist and my back, and the BA and Fat Transfer to the lips we will be doing at the same time. I couldn't be more excited and confident in him.

I must say Rice Sizers are not all they are cracked up to be! After two consultations where I got to use the actual implant, it really changes what it looks like having something that really keeps its shape to determine what size you should get.

Decided I want 550-700CC's based on whats here on RS, see the subtable difference in period boobs

You all have convinced me not to get the gummy bears. Since I booked my consult I have been just so excited for this to finally happen, and to get to try on sizers and all that. I've been wearing a xoxo brand bra that says it makes you 2 cup sizes bigger and wore it around my family and asked how it looked, and my conservative LDS family thought they didn't look noticeable or big on me. I think I will wear that bra to my consult and have that as my starting implant size. I've also noticed my breasts change shape a lot thought the month, in my cycle they are much fuller up top so I'm glad I'm getting my consult after my cycle ends so we choose the right size not including my monthly little upgrade.
