Buccal Fat Removal - 1 Day After - London, GB

I had Buccal fat removal at 111 Harley street yesterday. I combined it with Laser assisted lipo on my jaw and double chin (which I have reviewed separately).
I'll be honest in that this procedure was a little uncomfortable at times. But I expected that and Dr Yannis was generous with the local anaesthetic which helped!
First of all he gave me 2 local anaesthetic injections, one each side in the back of my gums (like at the dentist when you have a filling). After a few moments, he made a small incision at the side of my mouth, next to my upper molars and used some long tweezers to tease out the Buccal fat. My left side needed a bit of teasing and it was a strange sensation...like tugging. I could feel pressure and some discomfort so I was given another injection. The same happened on my right side but the fat came out a little easier and quicker.
I was stitched up and quarterised, and then given some mouthwash to rinse with.
Soon after, I could see some swelling. But nothing too dramatic. I've attached some photos bout bare in mind that most of the swelling in my photos were a result of the Laser lipo I had on my jawline.
Later on when the numbing wore off, I could feel some tenderness in my cheeks. I could chew properly so just has some soup and a yoghurt for dinner.
The next morning some light swelling continued but no bruising on my cheeks. I did take arnica tablets and bromelain a week before my procedure which probably helped.
I will be sure to post more photos as the days go on.

Day 2
Day 2 and the swelling on my cheeks is in full flow! Ignore the neck area as that results from the chin lipo I had (reviewed as a separate procedure). The insides of my mouth where the fat was removed from are quite tender today. I can't open my mouth fully so just taking small bits of food. There is some swelling on the outside of my cheeks from the provider but no bruising. Made a mistake and had some chilli which stung the cuts (my bad!) but no real discomfort.

Day 3 - able to eat today.
Day 3 and I'm able to eat some proper food without too much discomfort. Still can't open my mouth fully, and my cheeks are a little tender but otherwise all is good.

I'm glad you're doing well! How much time off did you take?

Hiya, I hadn't my op on Friday and I go back to work tomorrow. So 5 days. The swelling is still there and so the bruising, but I've found a good make up that hides it well. I'm just telling people I've had my wisdom teeth out!

Congrats! You looked adorable before. Keep us posted if you somehow can look even more fabulous. Seriously.

Thank you! That's very kind. I will post some photos soon, I am just waiting for the stitches to dissolve and the last of the swelling to subside

Following your progress. Are you happy with the results at this stage?

Hi there. Yes I am happy, they are very subtle results at the moment. I can see a difference, but dont quite have Angelina Jolie's cheeks just yet! I think once my stitches dissolve and the last of the swelling subsides, I will see more change. I will be sure to post a photo at the end of week 3 :)

Hi, please keep on sharing photos! :) I am very interested in this procedure, but reviews for London doctors are rare. Many thanks ! xx

Hi there. Yes I keep meaning to update! I'm starting to see some results on my left side, but the incision point inside the right cheek has become infected. So it's swollen and quite sore. I emailed the nurse Tammy a photo so maybe she can get me some antibiotics. If the swelling subsides and my right cheek looks like my left then I will be very happy!
