My double chin is gone!

One month later and the swelling around my chin has gone down a lot. I still have some swelling on my right cheek (more so than my left) which makes my face look slightly asymmetrical but hopefully it will sort itself out. The biggest thing I can notice is my double chin is gone. Very happy with that. Lets hope my jowls follow suit soon!

1 week after surgery

Some of the swelling has gone but some remains, mostly around the jowl area and under the chin. The bruising has mostly subsided, so,
I'm well on my way to recovery! Saw the nurse yesterday and she removed my stitches. Can't wait to see some results.

Day 3 - out comes the bruising!

Today the bruising is coming out. Woke up to my neck neck and jaw a different colour. The swelling is still pretty bad but the tenderness is going away. I started some gentle lymph drainage massage this morning as I felt a few little lumps appear. Cant seem to get the surgeons pen marks off my skin!

Im still taking arnica, tumeric and ginger supplements. Looking forward to seeing some improvement!

I've not had cosmetic surgery before so I can't compare Dr Yannis to other surgeons. However, I was happy with the way he carried out the surgery. He informed me at all times what he was doing and the sensations I would feel. He was kind enough to give me some extra local anaesthetic at the entry points (as I metabolise it very quickly). His nurse Tammy gave me a stress ball to squeeze which helped as I was quite nervous about the procedure. I was given an aftercare leaflet and a compression garment to wear, and I'm expecting a call from Tammy on Monday to see how I'm getting on. So....so far so good!
