MY TUMMY TUCK EXPERIENCE IN MEXICO WITH TOPPLASTICSURGEONSMEXICO
SAMP1973December 8, 2016
WORTH IT$6,000
My name is Samantha I am a 43 year old mother of 3 boys.
On February 2016 I decided to go through with my tummy tuck and a liposuction as my personal trainer was told that no matter how many sit ups I did I would not lose my kangaroo pouch and the skin excess on my abdominal area couldn’t disappear with exercises.
I live in Los Angeles so I was considering my surgery here but I was quoted $10,000 for my procedure and this was a lot of money to be spending on myself I thought.
I ve heard about medical tourism and Mexico as an affordable destination for plastic surgery so I thought it was a good option for me. It’s very close from here and a girlfriend recommended it to me,, she had had her boobs done in Mexico City at very affordable cost and that they looked great!
I convinced my best friend to travel with me as she was also considering having her tummy tuck.
Having a surgery done in Mexico wasn’t an easy decision,, I remember I slept on it 2 weeks!
Before taking my decision I started researching on the web about my surgeon, the company – topplasticsurgeonsmexico and the hospital where my surgery would be done. I told my husband and family about my surgery and to my surprise they actually understood and they were very supportive.
The day of my arrival at Mexico City a chauffeur of the company picked me up at the airport and he drove me to my hotel. The hotel was clean and modern. I had my first consultation with my surgeon the day of my arrival at Mexico. The consultation was free so there was no obligation and no risk if I didn't have surgery. I remember I was so excited I forgot to ask most of my questions.
The night before surgery I was so scared. I kept thinking that I would never wake up and see my family again:- ). I had taken a sedative to help me go to sleep early.
I guess I got sleepy pretty fast because the next thing I remember is that it was morning and time to go! My assistant picked me up at hotel at 9:00am.
I arrived at the hospital early, too early I think. I waited 2 hours the dr in my room at hospital.
At 11:30am I finally saw my surgeon, he told nurses to bring me on up and that we could sit around and chat for a bit while everything got ready. I was so so scared ! ! ! I was hungry too and my stomach was growling.
My surgeon Dr. Bernardo had prescribed a sedative beforehand and I had taken all of my instructed medications so I was feeling a little woozy and not too nervous. But I was just so sensitive.
Well it is time so I went into the operating room... but I don't remember ever getting on the table, maybe they carried me I don't remember. I just remember being woken up and they kept saying Samantha ! Samantha!'. I wanted to go back to sleep so badly. I was sitting in the recovery room and started to feel icky. I went to turn a little in my recliner and then OW WANT TO THROW UP!!
I don't remember too much after surgery but the nurses said I slept a lot.
I guess I wasn't hungry. I felt like I would never use my stomach again. There were all these black and blue marks everywhere from the surgical pen they used like bull's eyes all over my lower body. I slept 1 night at hospital.
The next day my assistant picked me up at hospital and he drove me to my hotel.
In the hotel I remember my drain and how nasty the fluid was that came out of it. I thought I was leaking too much but it turned out that it was just normal fluid drain.
Everyday a doctor has visited me at my hotel room,, she helped me change my dressings,, I was very tired and I just wanted to sleep most of the time. The medicines also helped a lot.
Two days after the surgery my assistant drove me back to my surgeon so he could check the drain and check my tummy and liposuction areas.
5 days after my surgery I was doing much better but my tummy was hard as a rock.
The garment helped to keep everything in and I think it helped support my healing body.
A few more days later, I got some stitches out, my drains also were removed. I wasn't really draining and all looked good.
10 weeks after surgery I was still uncomfortable and had a burning feeling around my abdominal muscles.
I Stayed 13 days in Mexico and it was time to go back home. I was just happy to see my family back! ! !
A few weeks later, I don't remember exactly when, but I looked in the mirror while getting dressed and realized how much better I looked. I was so thinner ! ! !
I didn't have any more disgusting sagging skin! ! !
I guess I didn't realize it until I got caught off guard. I couldn't believe how skinny I looked and how shapely my body was.
The only thing I was worried about was my long scar, but I guess I just need to try patience to see the final results. So far I love my body now but my scars still healing.
My surgery in Mexico was a good experience, everyone helped me out and made me feel better at anytime.
I hope this helps anyone looking for personal experiences on plastic surgery in Mexico. I do not regret it and I know you won't either if you decide to do it!!!

Thank you for the response. I am hoping to get a mommy makeover. Would you suggest this Dr. for tummy tuck and breast augmentation? Also, I don't have a friend who can join me on this excursion. Will there be plenty of support during the recovery if I am on my own? Thank you again for your comments!
Thank you for sharing all of the great details and pictures with us.
