My Rhinoplasty experience

For many years I had been extremely unhappy and self conscious about the way my nose looked from sideways. I had a massive bump from breaking it when I was younger. When I hit my late 20s I decided to research a nose job and came across Dr Awf Quaba. I looked at other surgeon's reviews but Dr Quaba had the best feedback. I had a consultation with him and felt all my questions were answered and I was given realistic expectations. I was happy with the tip of my nose, it was only the bump from the side view I wanted removed and I was happy that Dr Quaba agreed and understood what I wanted done. My family came to my consultation and we all felt relieved after wards and I knew Dr Quaba was the surgeon for me.
I naturally felt nervous the day of surgery but Dr Quaba and the Anesthetician visited me beforehand which calmed my nervous and again confirmed what I wanted to fix. Waking up from the surgery the nurse was there to take me to my room. I was happily surprised at how little pain I was in and my room was very comfortable. I had a good experience with Dr QUABA and the SpireMurrayfield hospital and the nurses were so nice. The next day after staying overnight, my inside nose package was removed, this wasn't sore, just a bit uncomfortable and took less than 10 seconds to remove!! As my nose was previously broke I couldn't breathe out the right side very well but I couldn't believe that when the packaging was removed that I could breathe normally!! :)
I had to wear a cast over my nose for one week. For 7 days I had it on and I could only sleep with my head a little raised with 3 pillows but after a fortnight I could sleep sideways again. It was worth it lol.
7 days after surgery I went back to the hospital to get my cast removed and stitches. Having the stitches out wasn't sore, only a little tug and look less than 5 minutes. Immediately after the cast was taken off I was give a mirror and I couldn't believe how nice my nose looked from the side! No witches hook as I called it, totally straight! After the cast came off my nose was extremley swollen however, 2 hours after I got home thankfully the swelling went down and it looked swollen but normal enough I could leave the house if I needed too :) (the second week after surgery I decided to stay in the house as I wanted to rest but I could have left during the second week).
I took two weeks off work and went back. I only told the people I'm close to and some didn't even notice :)
What I loved most about my experience was how natural my nose looks!!! The tip (I think of you change the tip it makes it look really obvious you've had a nose job) looks the exact same and from the front I still look like me which was very important to my family and I :) Just having the bump removed I have so much more confident now and my family and friends have commented on how much happier I am. I don't regret a second of this experience.
Surgery is a very seriously decision and shouldn't be taken lightly. I wanted this done for over 10 years but make sure you do as much research as possible and I recommend Dr Quaba in Edinburgh, Scotland. Best money I've ever spent lol.
6 months on after my final consultation I can't quite believe the difference in my nose and how I feel. I'm glad I waited til my late 20s to be totally sure I wanted this.

Thank you for sharing your story. I wanted new nose for long time and when i finished collage i got the job and started to save money. Luckily it did not took a long and i chose clinic in Prague because it would cost less and i know Prague well, so for me it was nice trip and even better surgery experience. Nice looking modern clinic in centre of the city. Every single employee i met was friendly and helpful. Had my consultation with dr. Vasek - he is great listener and gave me honest info about the procedure and all the post op care. His English is absolutely spotless. After the surgery i stayed day and night. There was not much pain just a weird feeling on my face:-) Nose was swollen for a while but when it has gone i finally started to look amazing. So for me to travel for surgery was good decision and for sure would visit Forme clinic again.
