A little about me: I was 24 when I had my procedure done about a year ago now. I'm 5'4 was about 135lbs. I had liposuction on my lower & upper abdomen, lower back, and love handles. I work out at least 3-5x a week but I could never get rid of the stubborn fat in my mid section.. I wanted more of an hourglass shape. About my experience with Dr Brown: I had the best experience you could have. I had a few other consultations at other offices before choosing Dr. Brown as my surgeon. From the moment I walked into her office I felt comfortable. Her office staff is very professional and didn't make me feel awkward like I felt at the other offices I visited. They greet you with warm smiles and are very knowledgeable. First impressions are everything! I met with Dr. Brown and showed her my concerns and stubborn fat areas. She was very straight forward and I think her being a woman, made it easy for her to envision exactly what I wanted. She listened to what I had to say, never felt rushed, and she very confidently let me know exactly what she could do for me. She was very genuine which was comforting. She didn't leave any room for doubt.. I knew 5 minutes into our consult she was the right doctor for me. I couldn't be happier with my results. The actual procedure wasn't bad I remember feeling scared and then counting backwards from 10 and waking up and it was all done! Her nurse Althea was amazing as well! She was there from my consult all the way to my post op appointment. She made me feel very relaxed even when I was freaking out! lol. As far as the healing process... my skin scars pretty bad and they were pretty noticeable for awhile, like little mosquito bites.. but not bad enough that I was embarrassed to wear a swimsuit.. Had my procedure done in January, 3 months later I enjoyed spring break in March, majority spent in a swimsuit.. still felt very confident even with my scars. Now you could hardly notice them. Also I had pretty bad scar tissue but I was warned of all of this before my procedure. Now almost all of my scar tissue is gone.. Its almost like I never had the procedure. A year later I'm the happiest I could be with my results-- I'm 125lbs, have the curvy shape I've always wanted, clothes fit like a glove ! My tummy is flat, hardly any bit of love handles, and my back has that nice scoop, almost looks like I got my butt done too! Almost no scar tissue, minimal scarring. It's just an amazing feeling.. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner! Thank you to everyone at Desert Hills Plastic surgery!! You changed my life!
